TE...that's quite interesting (the Wii's). From your posts I got the impression you were at/near management level and yet you took stock meant for custmers.

I'm not blaming you, but I'm interested to hear your opinion on the idea of "staff first and **** the customers" and how you square it with your other opinions posted on here (very company-centric, profit sharing, etc). Surely as a company servant you follow the idea that things like the Wii get people into the store and spending. But then letting the staff have them all negates this.

I honestly am not being judgemental on this (I don't want a Wii but I can understand those who do), I'm just a tad confused about the seeming double standards.

It differs from store to store but usually at Christmas Tesco get the latest must have and i think its important to allow the staff to have them aswell as the customers (After all Staff are also Customers - I personally do not shop anywhere else) - Of course not all of the stock went to staff and the MAJORITY were sold to customers but this is one of the benefits of working for Tesco especially at Christmas, It's also a nice way of thanking the staff for their hard work over the festive period by allowing them to buy the 'must have' for their children.

I did say last night that staff were grabbing them first and flogging them on ebay.

This sort of competition between tescosemployee and everyone else makes me want to go get some more, that and the grumpy store manager.

Hi I was in a rather large Tescos this morning lurking about the DVD section when an employee came alongside me and started to rummage through the shelves. In her hand was a list of Mis priced items 'copied and pasted ' from MSE mis price thread
It was word for word as posted on the message board !
Imade a mental note of getting to Tescos earlier next time ;)
  • Wlfc1 You have a pm.
Nice quick trip to mr Ts. you obviously know what to look for. Takes me hours and I only got 50 odd quid today, mostly stella.

Yep 10% discount on the thing that everybody needs - Food (Also the discount applies to Non Food etc,), Not bad as i usually save around £12 on my weekly shop and Tesco have fantastic prices and promotions anyway so the discount is a nice added bonus
