I was in Tesco the other night and picked up some meat which had a lower sel then the pack price. I checked and double checked the sel before I bought the meat to make sure it was the right type, size etc.
Took it over to CS who was a bit dumb and had to call 2 other people to check. 2 other people decided it was a misprice then Manager came walking over to see what all the staff were doing there. Off goes manager to check and comes back a long time later with a different sel making my meat the wrong size. I told manager that there was another sel that was different to that one.
Manager was not gonna give me r&r but kindly offered to exchange my meat for a larger one if I wanted to pay the £2 extra. Nearly told manager that I didn't really want to buy any meat when Tesco are offering it for free but thought I best not say that as it is my local and ice cream was melting.
So sneaky manager changed the sel and next time I will accompany sneaky manager... lesson learnt!:mad:

I was just having a little think to myself and if your system does differentiate between different stock types/selling locations then wouldnt tesco be able to really simply create a new code for price labels/posters etc? That way when the list comes from head office saying that products x,y and z are to have their price changed the store would be able to type the products code into a PDA and produce a list of everywhere in the store that a label advertising its price can be found.

That way there really would be no excuse for having an incorrect price label anywhere in the store and if there is then the customer service desk should hold their hands up, accept responsibility and issue an R&R every time.

It makes me suprised that you all give such detailed accounts on here - You all know full well that alot of Tesco Managers read this and will be able to recall you from the details given.
