TescoEmployee wrote:In the 4 stores iv worked at it has been common practise so i assumed that all stores done it - I know of a few local stores which always do it too and in refrence to the whole 'copyright' issues i do remember this being discussed before and H/O e-mailing stores.
Personally I think it looks awful and thankfully very few stores do this anymore.0 -

Hopefully, this will lead to a more pleasant thread in the future.
I don't think it's off-topic and it has been most constructive and useful.
I havent read all the rest of the thread to catch up but gotta say Well Said and very adult and responsible..0 -
I have seen a few different ways of showing games,
game in the secure case is the most common way
empty case just on the shelf, some give you a fresh sealed copy others go gets the disk and manual.
photocoppied front cover looks crap and you cant read the back of the case to see what the game is about.
The sleave of the game on a secure case, you are then given a sealed copy of the game when you pay.
a new one yesterday was the manual from the game in a secure case.
the photocopying of the covers does break copyright rules, but as they are not being done for iilegal purposes or being passes off as legitimate covers then they can sort of get away with it.0 -

Strangely, if ringing from a mobile with inclusive mins, this will be way better than the freephone number! Just get them to put you thru to Dundee!
Got this from www.saynoto0870.com0 -
I was actually ripped off by Tesco !!.grrrrrrrrr
I actually bought and paid for Nintendogs DS game and was given an empty box !!!, they should just leave the boxes sealed, I now have to go and buy the game again.
If KK is reading this, perhaps he can send me a copy of the game I never had?, (it was the dalmatian game), PM me Kev and i'll send you my delivery details (possibly already has them?).
PS
Where are all the misprices?, haven't done an r&r in nearly a week !!0 -
loads of pork out there but i guess thats only for ripping off the little old ladies0
