Yes on items that don't fit in a Safer. No on anything else.

  • Its got a big sign over the door with a T in it.

There is a hard flat surface where cars park just outside the door.

There are a number of wire baskets on wheels spread all over this flat surface.

That should have narrowed it down for y'all....see you in the morning ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I'll use the same clue's too;)

    Hi

I am talking about the use of photocopy game sleeves, very few stores do this.

    Re: Photocopied cases.

Couple of reasons its done. One is the item will not fit in a Safer Case - Dr Who Boxset springs to mind but there are others. Secondly, empty cases get stolen as well, which is the same loss as the whole thing as it is impossible to get replacement sleeves. A store would put just the sleeve in a Safer to keep the game/instructions safe in its original box (good idea I think, may try it in my place). Thirdly, by having everything on the department Safered, it gives it a uniform look and makes it Simpler to replenish - if it all has to be protected then it is easier than just picking and choosing.

Not sure about the legality of photocopies...probably isn't and does look poor. But better to try and sell it than just not display it or have it nicked/damaged.

Always nice to have your input!

Glad you agree about the photocopies, they look awful!

As far as keeping the disc/instructions behind CS is concerned, I hate it when I see them go and get one of those safe boxes and the disc is just rattling around loose in there with the intructions! I always make a point of closely inspecting the disc when I've noticed them come like that, I've seen scratched discs before!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Yeah...thats why I quite like the idea of the disc/instructions staying in their original box. Even worse is when the paperwork is destroyed with an elastic band :o

In the 4 stores iv worked at it has been common practise so i assumed that all stores done it - I know of a few local stores which always do it too and in refrence to the whole 'copyright' issues i do remember this being discussed before and H/O e-mailing stores.

I would put that down to theft, 'c1 - if that store was loosing covers they may have taken the step of keeping everything under lock and key. Or it could be to keep all games sealed.

I know it sounds bizarre....but it does happen, even through Safers.

You fool.People like you and other arrogant CS staff get my back up.
It is your precious employer that is ripping people off day in day out.So a few go to your store and get deliberate R&R's from info they have on here.SO WHAT,doe's it come out of your pocket?or are you one of these always on their knees when the big bosses are around who wants to climb the ladder?.
If there is a way you can let me know which store you work in I will gladly come and see what happens when I come and get a DELIBERATE R&R.

(IF you and your company did they job properly in the first place, there would be no people deliberately getting R&R's,no forums,no threads,so thank your own team for anything that follows ;))

Thanks for your comments i have taken them on board and im afraid i won't give out my location;)
