I assume that this is either a well known mistake - or just a fluke - but essentially i was looking for confirmation, one way or the other - and it might just help someone else.

Also let me just appologize that it doesn't involve a misprice - but it does involve tesco - so i thought here as good a place as any to mention.

I was in tesco yesturday with the not too observant wife - who bought two packs of cooked meat in the "buy 2 save £1" deal. Anyway she thought it said "buy 2 for £1" and needless to say wasn't best pleased so we took it straight back to CS. However, when CS refunded the item they refund the two prices in full. That is we made £1 profit from buying and taking back for a refund.

While this is only a saving of £1 - if this is general policy then it isn't hard to find far superior bargains where you could make a lot more than £1 by buying two and taking both back for refund.

Does anyone know if this applies to BOGOF offers? - cos that way you wouldn't pay for your shopping!

Is mySupermarket.co.uk any use to you?

Im sure many people on this site will take what im about to say out of context but i shall certainly be watching my CSD over the next few days for returns of DVDs by staff and i'll also be looking at any OCs that occur in my store to see if they match the information posted on here. I would suggest you need to be careful if you wish to remain a Tesco employee but hey thats only MY opinion.

    Oooh touchy

Tesco s dont like it up em do they? lol

I think it brilliant that we have a potential tesco spy in our ranks :rotfl:

    Up yours tescos :D

Am not having much luck with the R&R at the moment! Last month I was accused of something untoward on a bit of steak. This time I thought I had a definite, bought a number of items from the misprice thread (can't give too much away as the complaint as far as I'm concerned is still ongoing and I don't want to be recognised!).
Bought my weekly shop and added 8 different items stickered in security boxes (tamper proof!), on 6 of these I was overcharged by over 1/5 of the stickered price, leave the store return to CS desk CSA agrees I've been overcharged but then disappears to get the items pulled off shop floor. Returns 15 mins later saying they've spoken to manager and I can have the difference or a full refund but they keep the product. I ask to speak to the manager who arrives and says I can't have R&R as he believes I am abusing their generosity, he won't elaborate on this. It was not one of my regular stores and I am not a professional R&R person (though I wish I had time to be!). So I take name and ring HO, explain what happened and what was said, and was told that the manager should never have said what he did, and that the store would ring me back that night. Nobody rings. I leave it till the following day, speak to same person they appear suprised I haven't been contacted for my refund but someone will ring me back that day regarding my refund. Another 4 days pass no phonecall.
I again ring HO original lady is off sick but store will ring me within the hour, 2 hours pass no call so I ring back am put through to DM who says manager said I couldn't have a refund and told me why. I ask him what manager meant by his comment he says " I don't know" to all other questions I get "No comment" most frustrating.
I email HO a week ago, apart from the acknowledgement of receiving my email, I hear absolutely nothing.
Not sure what else to do, I still have the overcharged items which I have still been overcharged on as I didn't even get the difference, and am getting no response from anyone.
How on earth does the postie manage it when every store I go to are determined not to uphold their policy!
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
