    Hi, all.

Have been following the thread on the R and R for tescos for a week or two, and every time I go to my store they are not incorrect. I understand how they can change so quick, so thought I would put this suggestion forward.

When adding the misprices etc, is it worth adding the town and store where the mistake was noticed.

    ALSO

What do you think about not informing Mr.T immediately of there mistake, but get home, do a posting, then inform them about the mistake on your next shop. I assume there is no time limit on the R and R thing.

This would allow us all to really have it away at Mr.T's Expense. Hooraay!

    Thanks you all

There is a time limit if the SEL is not there on your next visit.

The consensus seems to be that giving away your location is not wise in case the Tesco Storm Troopers swoop on you.

  • Ok, so that doesnt work foe the SEL one, but if it scans different to the stickered price? would that be ok?

I think today's conversation has gone along way to moving the thread and discussion forward to a point where we can post in a friendly and constructive manner, regardless of our professions or personal opinions on Tesco/R&R. Hopefully, this will lead to a more pleasant thread in the future.

I don't think it's off-topic and it has been most constructive and useful.

Unfortunately, its not worth mentioning the store, as, as soon as an RandR has been had, staff are supposed to remove the existing Shelf Edge Label......so naming the store would only send you on a wild goose chase.

A lot of posters dont post finds immediately, and usually Tescos dont correct them immediately.

I dont think other RandRers will give up the chance, in case its not there when they go back for it.

From what I have seen, the stores receive one message or one email, or list a day.....so the RandRs found one day possibly arent corrected until the next day anyway................unless of course its something big, then we believe stores are notified asap.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Surely this is even more reason for people to list the place where the mistake is found?

It's always safer to get the issue dealt with asap, to be honest. You could end up being accused of all sorts if you take the item home, then come back at a later time. On DVDs, for example, the receipt will only show that you purchased a "DVD" - it won't give the title of the DVD. This could lead to the accusation that you'd actually bought a dvd that cost you and was marked up at £17, but you then brought in a previous purchased DVD marked up at say £15 to claim a refund you were not entitled to. It doesn't happen a lot, but it can happen. For this reason, it's best to avoid leaving it too long. Walk out of the store, by all means, but go back in reasonably quickly. If it's an incorrect SEL, you need to get it sorted pretty sharpish, just in case some kind Tesco bod decides to change the SEL before you've actually been through the tills.

I guess so - Just don't expect that kind of information from me though;)
