Next week is the main week but trade sort of switches between departments at the moment Non Food and Ambient are busy and next week this will switch into Fresh FoodStand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Sorry, Leadhead, but I disagree. Kez posted with the sole intention of winding up TE. There's no need for it on any thread on the board. Don't defend her actions, as it's posts like hers that will get this thread closed. You're always posting "Don't Feed The Trolls", but then you feed them yourself (and defend them when you agree with them). TE's previous posts are no excuse for Kez's recent posts. TE has posted informative and friendly stuff today. When posters are showing respect for each other, there's no need and no excuse for someone else to post specifically to start yet another fight.
WOOOOOOOOOOOaHHHHHHH....wait a minute.
All I was saying(and not defending her actions).........was that
If Kez had switched on and the first post noticed was a confrontational one from TE(like i did earlier today).then it is possible to accept that Kez was merely reacting on how TE "used to be"
I didnt look to see if it was just an intentional goad, if it was, then I stand corrected.......as we all want to see less of this.
Hopefully I have never defended a troll.
Please accept that was never my intention........but i think my explanation should be taken into consideration....unless of course other similar posts follow, or you know it was definately meant.Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

This may sound shocking but this forum has put it on more Tesco managers agenda to get the prices right - Prior to this H/O were not that concerned with it and certainly didn't come down hard on stores that had high r+r - I think as mentioned before they know that this policy almost covers them from TS.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

Have you read Kez's previous posts? If not, I suggest you go back and take a look. You'll see what I'm getting at.
Thanks for taking the time to reply in a civil way, though...always appreciated. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Re the discussion on why we shop at Tescos.....
Why I shop at Tesco
1)There is one quite local to me, which is open later than any other of my local supermarkets - therefore ideal for a late night dash when I have run out of essentials
2) My local Mr T's are quite good at accepting coupons - sometimes they expect you to have actually bought the product, and sometimes can be fussy about accepting Sainsburys coupons, but generally they are very good, and I must have saved hundreds of pounds in the last 10 months ( and thanks to all the MSE advice about where to find the coupons in the first place)
3) Again my local do have some fantastic sell by date reductions - bread, cakes, meat , fruit and veg......I added up the value of the goods I got in one shop last week - it was Ten Times what I was actually charged, and then I used coupons to reduce the fianl bill still further. I have been to other Tescos where the reductions weren't anywhere near as good.
4) R&R There is no getting away from it, if I need to get some shopping, I will NOW always head for T's first, on the optimistic hope that I could get an R&R. I do not keep a running total of how much I have got - nothing mega, but a steady trickle over the year, and wrapping Xmas presents recently has been a real pleasure, because so many were free.
I still think on the whole that Asda would be cheaper if I was one of those people who did one big weekly shop. I don't. I go to EVERY shop regularly, (even if only once a month) and do a shop which are all their BOGOFs and special offers. I have a good idea ( helped by this site) for who is the best for everyday food items, where to get cheap booze, who has got offers on Toiletries and clothing etc. I think I will have to have a trip to Morrisons before Xmas. They seem to have some really good deals on, which run until Xmas, so once my cupboards are a bit emptier I will head there.
I have got a lot of Free items from Mr T's this year, but equally they have had a lot of custom from me. I would have done SOME shopping there anyway, but nothing near the value if I hadn't been hunting for R&Rs0 -
TescoEmployee wrote:A manager recently joined Tesco and was telling us of some Asda horror stories - Such as when items are 'reduced to clear' they don't put the reduction sticker over the barcode in the hope that the customer will not realise and get charged the full price and then if they do relaise will not bother to make the trip back to the store to complain:rolleyes:
On the asda scene; I have had that on offers!
Thats what they do I'm sure, if you go in on a monday, they havent taken the weekend offers down in asda esp, if its 8am - but they then try and tell you, oh well those were only for the weekend...0
