I would continue with this discussion but i am actually going into work for a few hours to try and help the store with the congestion in the warehouse - Maybe we need r+r's to try and clear some of it out. I just hope everyone plans to do some major shopping in Tesco over the next 2 weeks;)
only if you get your prices wrong:p ::D ;)
  • They do not like telling you - its a two pound gift card per error.

Think its hard to get an r & r out of Tesco? Try getting a gift card outta Asda ;)

A manager recently joined Tesco and was telling us of some Asda horror stories - Such as when items are 'reduced to clear' they don't put the reduction sticker over the barcode in the hope that the customer will not realise and get charged the full price and then if they do relaise will not bother to make the trip back to the store to complain:rolleyes:

I've got a letter from Asda House to cover that problem. It's easy getting the £2 gift card for an overcharge. It becomes harder when you try to get them to follow their "£2 gift card per item overcharged" policy. The letter comes in handy, as it states the above to be Asda policy. :D I've had some fun with Asda CS (store) over this. The normal response is "Well, they'd better let all the CS desks around the country know, because I've never heard that before and I've been working for Asda for X many years..." Sour face to go with it, too. :D

Put a match to it - I'm off later with some petrol to take care of mine, its the only way I'm gonna clear enough space for tomorrows fun ;):D

I'm sure you won't want to hear this but the store i work at it is now a high priority not to overcharge - We even 'rumble' sections of the store to ensure our lables are correct;)

Shokami, font change required, I think... That's smaller than the Offer Ends 05/12/2006 writing on OOD SELs.

    My eyes...my eyes! ;)
Sorry MUNT, having severe problems with font tonight. It's too big now, but hope it's easier to read

Much as I've said how Tesco HO treats its staff badly, I can honestly say that Wal-Mart treats its staff far worse. The amount of times Wal-Mart has been taken to court in the US over treatment of staff is beyond belief. Wal-Mart lost a court case in Germany over a freephone number which staff could use to grass up other staff. Wal-Mart was taken to court in the US recently over unpaid "overtime" (all the extra 15 minutes it has taken from staff due to having to arrive 15 minutes before a shift starts, shortened breaks, etc). That ruling could have a profound effect on the Retail Sector.

In terms of sales? Next week.
