I just hope everyone plans to do some major shopping in Tesco over the next 2 weeks;)0

Think its hard to get an r & r out of Tesco? Try getting a gift card outta Asda
A manager recently joined Tesco and was telling us of some Asda horror stories - Such as when items are 'reduced to clear' they don't put the reduction sticker over the barcode in the hope that the customer will not realise and get charged the full price and then if they do relaise will not bother to make the trip back to the store to complain:rolleyes:Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

Think its hard to get an r & r out of Tesco? Try getting a gift card outta AsdaI've had some fun with Asda CS (store) over this. The normal response is "Well, they'd better let all the CS desks around the country know, because I've never heard that before and I've been working for Asda for X many years..." Sour face to go with it, too.

I'm sure you won't want to hear this but the store i work at it is now a high priority not to overcharge - We even 'rumble' sections of the store to ensure our lables are correct;)Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

Much as I've said how Tesco HO treats its staff badly, I can honestly say that Wal-Mart treats its staff far worse. The amount of times Wal-Mart has been taken to court in the US over treatment of staff is beyond belief. Wal-Mart lost a court case in Germany over a freephone number which staff could use to grass up other staff. Wal-Mart was taken to court in the US recently over unpaid "overtime" (all the extra 15 minutes it has taken from staff due to having to arrive 15 minutes before a shift starts, shortened breaks, etc). That ruling could have a profound effect on the Retail Sector. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
