I think quite a few of us had a bad Friday me included so [STRIKE]line through it[/STRIKE] and start again.
Well done on being crowned woman of the year Dizzy, thoroughly deserved we all agree.
Had a good day today to make up for yesterday:
B - weetabix hot water/ milk [.5] coffee
L - fruit salad, activia, 2x cheese twists [stale at that yuk] [4]
T - cheesy mash [.5a], onion, toms, beans, egg, bbq sauce [1]
Snack - s/cow [4.5]
Syns - 9.5
Am so tired today, don't really know why although did a lot of walking yesterday so that might have something to do with it, early night for me tonight. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

IMO that's what should make a woman/man of the year. It's relatively easy to lose weight when everything is going well, but you've been incredibly dedicated to keep going to group throughout all you've had going on.
Go Dizzy, rah,rah,rah :T:j
Congratulations Maman and Mrs M - you're both inspirational
Ladies (and gents if there are any out there), is it time for a new thread do you think? We're over 100 pages long now (which I understand slows the board down) and summer is virtually over (I know, I'm gloom-laden). Let me know and I'll start a new one over the weekend if you would like
Sounds good to me, thanks Consultant, what would we do without you :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Inspired by maman posting on another thread that she had reached target, I have decided to (re)-recommitt to SW. I don't have an online membership anymore but still get the mag and have the syn values oc basic foods/plan details etc. So I hope you'll let me come here for image therapy!
Today is red, here's what I have eaten so far:
BF: toast. Cheese (HEB and A)
L: Fritatta with ham and mushroom, tomatoes and cucumber, melon. Cooked with 1 tsp olive oil (2 syns I think)BBQ - will stick to chicken skewers and avood the sausages!
I've had a fajr amount of fruit as snacks and milk.
I'm really limited for cooking as my kitchen is being done, so am relying on the remoska, a george foreman grill and microwave!
Hello Gien and welcome! That's not being limited, that's having 2 things more than you need! Honestly, I haven't had a full size stove for 20 years or so and all my meals are cooked from scratch in the microwave, with occasional use of the GF for "fried" breakfasts and slow cooker or halogen used even more rarely. You can make stews and soups in the microwave by "slow" cooking them on half power; "fry" your onions and spices using a splash of water, or worcestershire sauce, or mushroom ketchup.
Dear all, apart from a slice of chocolate crunch at the cafe after a hour's walk, I've been excellent today. My trousers are falling down but is that because I've lost a bit of weight or have they just stretched as it's the third day of wearing them?:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

I would love to know how to cook veg in the micro instead of steaming it I only ever use the micro for reheating stuff, frozen peas or warming milk, but I think it uses a lot less energy than a stove so I should try to be more in inventive.
Thanks for the welcome, I'm going to read back a few pages to 'get to know' everyone and then jump in. Have to dig out the scales tomorrow and find out the damage from the summer hols.Trying to keep in budget.

Hello to old faces and new.
I've had a few months off and am trying desperately to get back into it properly. I seem to be able to follow the plan for a week then drift off....but it is only me that can do it I know. Perhaps I need to keep posting to keep me on track.
I noticed DIZZY that we are holiday twins... I am going to Cuba in 4 weeks time!!!! We both did Mexico last time and both doing Cuba this time LOL. We are doing 3 nights in Havana and 7 in Varadero, how about you?
I'm off to test out the gym at the Hilton today with OH in a hope that it will spur me back into it. It is the only place round by me that has a pool and who are likely to speak English. It is pricey but we'll probably just buy a 10 visit pass rather than sign up for months."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
