CyclingYorkie - well done on the loss and the shiney :j
G&B - hope it goes ok today
Dizzy - hope you are doing ok.
It's * week and I am feeling crap and I managed to hurt my back last night so feeling sorry for myself today!0 -
Good morning all - I'm off out in a minute as the kitchen man is (finally!) coming to do the finishing touches - glass shelf on the now accessible kitchen windowsill.
No Maman, I wasn't still at class! I did go, I did sign up for a 6 week countdown (I get it cheaper cos I am ancient), I did let myself be weighed by Ms Patronising and, as I expected cos I have been treating myself to lots of tasty and slightly unhealthy stuff this week, I put a pound on. Actually it was 1.5 lbs but I went in warmer clothes as it was brass monkeys here, and I just did a comparison-clothes-weigh and there was 9 lbs difference! Anyway, Ms Patronising squinted at the result, had another squint, and another, and said "ooooh 1.5 lbs on, are you ok with that?" I muttered Yes, and she persisted "Are you ok? are you sure you're ok?" I felt like saying oh just shut up. I know it's me, I get grumpy even seeing her. I think our "old" weigher is back next week. Reason I did a countdown? To galvanise me into losing this last big (my sig is out of date, it is now 8 lbs not 5.5 lbs to lose!) within 6 weeks thus taking me to almost the time my consultant leaves. Then I can just drop in, either to my current group or to the one a few miles away, and get weighed every couple of weeks. Confused, being honest with myself, I don't think I am strong-willed enough to do it without the "threat" of WI every week or two. (oh and sorry about my gross avatar, focusses the mind though eh?)
So now I am focussed, and I spent yesterday evening looking through the (irritating) website again and filling in my online diary. One thing about the website, I looked at their suggested one-week menu for EE and one breakfast was a bacon sandwich and another breakfast was (bleurrgh) tinned spaghetti on toast. Where's the superfree food in those, does anybody know, cos I can't see it.
Right, offski, taking apples with me cos if it stops raining I'll go for a walk and a munch!
Love to all, hope DD does ok at the hospital today, Guns.
Blackers x:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Morning all!
Well done YORKIE!!!
My house is now my own again! Hurrah! I think the new colour will take a bit of getting used to on the hall and stairs but it does look lovely and clean and fresh. The only problem is that the living room looks and a bit tatty and dowdy but that will have to wait a few months as it involves new carpet, wallpaper, painting, soft furnishings etc.....
Not sure about food for today - it will start with a banana for breakfast and finish with left over sweet and sour quorn and rice for tea but the rest is as yet a mystery!0 -
Morning All,
Didn't have a very good afternoon yesterday - started getting pain in my ribs & back - went to physio with my wrist & went to walk in clinic next door for the pain - eventually got seen - by this time the pain had pretty much gone- and the nurse told me to book an appointment with my doctor asap as she reckons i have gallstones
So doctors booked for sat morning at 8.30 (then Zumba at 9.30:j, Carido Kick at 10.30:j & gym programme session at 12:j)
Just been reading up on it and normally you have to have surgery to remove the gall bladder - not good! Bit scary!
After speaking to the nurse - she said that fatty foods can trigger the pain so i didn't have any chocolate last night (fibre plus bar doesn't count)
At least some good will come of it - i am now scared of fatty foods incase it happens again! :rotfl: Roll on a big loss next week!
Yesterday
B - ff vanilla onken & cherries
L - Dyno rod soup (the beans were still hard!) with 2 slices nimble (heb)
D - Quorn shepards pie with cheese topping (hea)
S - Fibre plus bar (heb), milk in coffee (hea), Jelly (1) and muller light
So today is looking like this
Green day
B - Strawbs & ff vanilla onken
S - Banana
L - 5 Scan Bran (heb) with quorn slices, pepperdew peppers & ff cottage cheese (which i left at home but luckily there is a Mr T near work!) and a pickled egg
S - Pack french fries (4) & muller light & jelly (1)
D - Jacket pots, beans, cheese (hea), quorn lamb style grill & brocolli/Cauliflower/sweetcorn
S - Fibre plus or 2 alpen lights (heb), milk in coffees (hea)
So 5 syns in total - might increase this slightly by swapping quorn lamb grill for a quorn escolap (sp?) or some quorn dippers0 -
Quick post of my menu:
B: NAS squash, HEB porage, HEA milk, banana, tea
L:Flexi as going to a friend and I'll have to eat whatever delights she produces and probably drink wine with them too:eek:
probably fruit but lentil soup if I'm hungry
Hope hospital appt. goes OK G&B, wouldn't you be able to move an adult chair into playroom?
Glad you're back from WI BR.;)
Back later to report on lunchtime syns:(0 -
Morning all.
Well done to the losers, expecially Yorkie - 4st is fab!
Dizzy and MrsM seem to be very quiet again at the minute, hope you're both ok.
Blackberry, I can't do it without the WI to kep me on track either. I'm struggling with maintenance at present.
After saying yesterday that I was getting back to it I had a slight mis-hap!!! I was starving in the evening as DH was at work late and I wait and have my tea with him which is usually somewhere between 9 and 9.30!!! I needed a snack to keep me going so I had a yogurt and some crisps which were well within my syn allowance. A bit later I was still hungry and I don't tend to keep much sw friendly snack food in as I don't often need it, so it was either fruit or bicuits...I'll let you guess which won! I had 2...because thats how many there were!
Today will probably be even less succesful as we're out for tea!
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), blueberries, banana
Lunch - leftover chicken, sw roasties and roasted veg.
Tea - ?????0 -

Well done yorkie, and everyone else with losses, I am proud to announce a loss today too. After gaining about 3lbs when I had my sneaky weigh in on Sunday, due to my massive binge weekend, well I have been a good girl since, mainly stuck to green days and official WI day today, and have lost the lbs i put on sunday and the lb i put on last week, taking me back to TARGET!!
Shift over on the target sofa, IM BACK!!! :T:D:T:D
I honestly do feel a binge every few months speeds a loss with me, and I won't argue with that theory
I won't record the 3lbs gain as it was a sneaky weigh in after all, I should never have checked then Id never have known!!0 -
HI all,
I am just starting out on SW, have borrowed some books, and ordered some online, but will not be attending classes.
I am doing it with my wife as we both want and need to lose some weight.
Today I was a bit naughty, can any one tell me how many points are in full fat mayo? Canteen at work had run out of healthy options and i needed some food so tuna mayo baked potatoe it was. Would imagine there was 2 tablespoons of mayo? Tuna is free right?
Additionally my wife cooked chicked yesterday, I understand that you can not eat the skin but is it ok cooked with the skin on and then the skin removed?
many thanks.
I am looking to lose 20lbs by end of the year, about 20 weeks away.Slimming World Adventure!
