I don't know about M&S but I use a local independent bra shop. What they do is ask you what size you think you are, what styles you fancy, colour etc then bring bras that size. They have a look at you in that and then work from there by bringing others. It's not always about the actual size but different brands/styles often suit different people better. Obviously not all fitters work in the same way but I think it's well worth a little bit of embarassment to get a well-fitting bra. It makes a huge difference to how your clothes look on you. I should just bite the bullet susie;)

Im glad Im not the only one with bra issues, seems there is lots of us. I find sizes are different depending what shops you buy them from. Marksys are so expensive though arent they, the last time I bought one from there was about 14 years ago and it was £15 so I dread to think how much they are now! Saying that it lasted me soooooo long, not like the cheap ones I buy now :rotfl:

Could I get away with being measured by M&S but not buy any from there do you think?

Im so disappointed my boobs have shrunk, I was a 38D (well so I think) and tried a few on in matalan last week and came away with a 36C which tbh surprised me as I was half expecting to walk out with a B. I can fit a complete boob in one hand now  never used to be able to :rotfl:

Well yesterday food wise was a massive challenge. I suffer terrible with period pain, and yesterday was sooo bad, I was rolling in a ball on my bed trying to get in a position to help, I even felt physically sick for a few hours. IN the evening it started to ease off and I then got the munchies (hadnt eaten much thro the day with feeling sick) and I wanted to devour the whole pack of viscounts, crisps, box of chocs, it was hellish! I kept thinking, I never binge, I always stick to plan, one day won't hurt etc etc, but am proud of myself, I settled with strawbs & mullers, and 2 weetabix with warm milk and took myself off to bed :j

I bet I still have a gain this week :(

    Hi guys :hello:

looking for a few ideas if anyone has some suggestions...

I have £10 to spend on food for this week to cover breakfast, lunches and snacks and I'm a bit stuck on what to buy/make that will give a bit of variety rather than eg, having soup everyday (evening meals are all sorted :) )

Any ideas? I do any combination of red/green and EE so any and all suggestions welcome.

    :)

    S: 3 pagens (B) 2 dairylea lights (part A)

I may have overestimated the syns for the stir-fry, but better to be safe than sorry ;)

Hi all, have had a good read and caught up. Sorry i've not been around the last few days. I have been on track andstayed on track all weekend.

My friend is doing SW and she had her milk all wrong, and was also using 12% mince as free - which i believe it isn't. It's 0.5 syns per 28g of mince so i've had to add syns where i didn't want to eat them as i was at her house. Still, no matter, at least we realised. I don't think she was best pleased that draining the fat off still doesn't make it free (according to my consultant!)

I've been out walking a fair bit - 70 mins yesterday i think so am hoping for a good result in weigh in tomorrow. I am also petrified at the same time.

I put my favourite jacket on today and it zipped around my waist with no struggle at all, a lovely feeling.

MrsMA- sorry to hear about your loss and nice to see you back

Can you explain your carb curfew a bit more? :)

Speaking of decreased appetites , i think mine may hve gotten a little smaller. I'm not eating quite so much between meals

I made these over the weekend with from frais and they were delicious. Really indulgent I felt and free if you use Fat free FF. I didn't find them burny hot but i'm quite accustomed to spicy food so that may be why

Ready to start again now after a few weeks messing about - 2 weeks holiday and this weekend staying with friends for a party icon_rolleyes.gif

I was very restrained at the weekend though 580990.gif Not by choice but I had a migraine icon_pale.gif Pills controlled it but I had very little to drink and didn't touch the buffet 927541.gif

Anyway, I weighed in this morning at 11st 11.5 which I think is pretty fantastic 103817.gif

7lb loss will mean I'm a healthy BMI so I'm aiming to lose 10lbs 384981.gif

Oh, and I had a couple of NSV this weekend 103817.gif I 'lost' a pair of jeans when I stood on the hem and revealed my knickers 44540.gif (good job I was in the house!) and several people at the party said how good I was looking 351820.gif including an ex boyfriend from waaaaaay back!! 91731.gif

Sorry to hear about your MIL Mrs M
Well done to all the losers :T

I have the bra issue too.. i went to M&S at the start of this year and got measured (she wasn't great) but 6 months later i went to buy some bras in the same size and they didn't fit - yet my old ones still do

I spent an hour in there trying on all different styles and brands and none fitted properly.. i gave up in the end!

Does the old way of measuring work for anyone? I measured my back and added 2 inches on like it said for back size, then added cup sizes up and ended up with a 40B or something - just ridiculous.. then the M&S woman said i was a 38E/F..

I love Bravissimo but our nearest one is 30 miles away :(

Worth saving up and going there once or twice a year IMO.

Bravissimo say that the wires in the centre front of your bra should be tight up against your breast-bone with the band going round your back level (neither riding up nor drooping down). You should buy the bra so that it feels tight when you're fastening it on the inside hooks (closest to the body) to allow for the elastic going a little slck in the wash.

The first time I went there it was after being measured at 38DD in M&S and I came away with two 36FF from Bravissimo. They make such a difference to the way your clothes look......well worth the effort to find your nearest branch.

Good to see you back MRSM, sorry about your bereavement :(

If you want some meat try a turkey leg. I cooked 2 (at £1.20 each!) in the slow cooker this weekend, one I have broken down and set (in the jelly that cooked out) with some vegetables and herbs to make a kind of terrine to take to tasting at the class this week, the other I tore the meat off and set it in a dish in the fridge, it will easily last me all week for lunches and the odd snack, and the cats love the skin that I took off so we are all winners this week! I would definitely suggest cooking from scratch Laura, even if you don't usually, it's always cheaper. A big bag of pasta and a couple of tins of tomatoes will give you a whole load of meals, better still with some chilli and garlic thrown in. Good luck, I don't know if I could manage on £10 for a week's food tbh.

right all this bra talk I bet I'm the only one just rummaged around and half took off my bra to check the current size, the placement of the front wires etc! Then realised the blinds, though down, are not closed and if my neighbour opposite (8 yds away) is at his sink he will have had a brilliant view. Or not so brilliant, depending if you enjoy deflated boobies :rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
