    Annie6 - I wouldn't worry especially as you have been doing it a while. Our consultant is always telling the group to drink more water. There are cases of harm but as long as it's spread throughout the day you should be fine. I drink about 5 litres a day and it's never done me any harm!

    EE today:
    B - ff yogurt and melon
    S - 2 alpen lights (heb)
    L - loads of lettuce, toms and cucumber with ham and hb egg. Quavers (5.5)
    S - apple
    D - pasta n sauce with added cheese (hea), peas, celery, peppers and ham.
    S - strawberries and meringue nest (2.5)

    in my opinion as long as you're weeing lots and your not drinking massive quantities very quickly then I think lots of water is good for you. I think it can be dangerous when people drink gallons at once and the body doesn't have time to function quick enough, brain swells and can lead to death (god how doom and gloom am i) Think this normally happens to idiots who take ecstasy tablets and the likes xx

    Morning everyone. Can I ask a question. A friend talked about the dangers of drinking too much water. I drink an awful lot of water, always have. But I have read about it now and made a point of only drinking a max of 5 pints yesterday normally at least 8 throughout day. eg I already have 2 pints of warm water with lemon before peaches and yog (b) this morning. Is there anyone else drinking lots of water and always have?
    apparently it washes out all the essential salt and minerals from your body (according to the various medical dramas i watch lol) but i think it is mostly an issue for people who do this as a one off. i would think your body is used to you drinking all that

    i dont know how you do it though!! i hardly drink anything and feel sick if i drink too much fluid at once

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I think others are right Annie when they say that regularly drinking lots of water isn't harmful. I believe it was in the news recently because there was some question about whether drinking lots of water was necessarily healthy. Someone had uncovered the fact that the foundation that supported lots of water as healthy was founded by Danone who are producers of Evian/Badoit/Volvic.

    I'm feeling much better today and appetite has almost returned to normal.

    EE menu:

    B: NAS squash, HEB toast, tomatoes, mushrooms, scrambled egg, HEA milk for teas
    L: Batchelors Golden rice with stir-fry veg, banana
    D: chicken jumbalaya
