My favourite way with SW schips is to use new potatoes, halved and par boiled. Then drain, put in a wok with fry light. Add rosemary. Use a potato mashed to squash them a little bit, just so the skins burst. Then "fry" until crispy. YUM ;-)
that sounds lovely, my old mum used to scrub and then deep fry new potatoes :D but as a nod to SW the other day I simply knifed each one through the skin, sprayed with oil and then popped into the microwave a la jacket potato but instead of one big one it was a dozen small new ones ... they were lovely. Took about 3 - 4 mins if I remember.
i'm having the same problem, how do you do this on a budget????
I think it also depends what you were eating and drinking before, swapping alcohol for water will cut back on cost, as will giving up (most) chocolate and crisps. Green days are probably cheaper as you can eat an enormous amount of vegetables and pulses. On EE or red, instead of searching for expensive lean mince use frozen quorn mince but do remember to put extra flavouring in.
I read that post as you did not have to have your brain scan - I read it several times - but I could still not work out why you was having a cereal bar instead. Is this what lack of food does?
What "lack of food"? If you are eating the SW way there should be no "lack of food!":D

Now, out of the corner of my eye I just saw a little shrew go toddling across the threshhold (indoors). I thought I'd heard some odd scratching noises today but no-one else (3 cats) took any notice. They've just slept as he trotted by too. Have they adopted him as a pet?

Hope Dizzy got on ok with her torturer, big hug.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

On the SW chips front, I don't bother parboiling them. I just cut very finely, spray with frylight, then sprinkle with season-all and bake in a hot oven for about half an hour. Delicious :).

Been a good girl today but I'm saving the majority of my syns for a beer later :D

    B: satsuma
    S: banana, mullerlight
L: courgette & watercress soup, 3 pagan rolls with 2 extra light laughing cow triangles, sasuma
    S: satsuma, mullerlight
D: chicken & vegetable (onion, green beans, baby corn, sugarsnap peas, spinach, tomatoes) curry, rice, one thid healthly living naan bread (3), skinny cow lolly (3.5)

Had to phone the local police earlier, some idiot threw an 8 inch chefs knife into our garden at some point today. My 7 year old son found it and brought it to me _pale_ It was right by his swing. Police said they'll pick it up one day in the week.

I just had my SW chips, they were yum :)

I microwaved them until they were cooked then cut them into thick wedges, sprayed them with frylight and put salt on then popped them in the oven for 20 mins to crisp up.

    Evening everyone

I've been good all day, after a stupid crisp binge last night (5 packets!)

WM bread (HEB), spread (2), eggs
HM butternut squash soup and 3 light babybels (HEA)
    Choc (11)
Lots of fresh pineapple, fat free yoghurt
Pasta and sauce, with milk (HEA)
3 cups of tea with extra milk (1.5)

Still feeling a bit peckish though, so might just eat some chick pea dhal straight out of the tin!

I agree that berries are pricey and some seem to go mouldy almost instantly. Me and OH have been eating tons of fresh pineapple - they are £1 each in asda and even less in Lidl I think, and when chopped up you get a huge bowlful so good value for money. I'm also a bit addicted to tinned peaches! You have to syn them but I think they're worth it!

I also think the type of potato matters as some go to mush if you parboil for 5 mins.

Maris Pipers are the best chippers ;) (I got that from some random cooking programme on daytime tv :o)
OK Ladies and Gents - Brace yourselves!...........

I have gone all day without a biscuit! A major acheivement after the last 2 or 3 days!:j

    :T:T Woooohoooo What a Result :D well done Mrs ! ;)

I got a new routine thrown in the mix today.....'ball circles' with no one supporting me.
holding a ball & trying to raise it above my head .... then with straight arms make a huge circle bending my knees so the ball goes near the floor - she really was taking the 'wee' I think as the 1st attempt I was in a big messy heap on the floor....and the 2nd I was no better and very sick (I'm sure she loves seeing me like that ) Had a very lazy afternoon on the sofa with my head in a bucket after that:rotfl:)
