MORNING ALL - weigh in for me tonight but I know I haven't lost (my scales are usually same as group ones) I just can't get into it at the moment, don't know why cos I know it's the best plan ever. As you know I'm around 10 lb out of target range and have been up and down for months now (what a waste of money).

Any words of wisdom to help me get back on track (and maybe at least stay the same for tonight!!!!!!) I know I'm asking too much but worth a try.

Welcome back MRS M - we missed you.

Welcome to all the newbies and very well done to the losers. xxxx

So, can anyone give me some ideas of high syn foods that are actually HEALTHY? I have been having nuts and seeds etc.. oh the tempation to have a mars bar and a bag of crisps are massive - but i dont wanna go down that (what would be for me) slippery slope :)

I made a SW quiche yesterday - goodness me, i didint realise just how good it would be..infact i ate qquite a lot of it - but it had loads of super frees in so it cant be a bad thing

    Today will be
B fruit - apple, pear muller vanilla
L- wholemeal roll (HE) ham and salad - maybe a hard boiled egg
D- hum, not sure maybe meatballs and pasta, or gammon and jacket with ff cottage cheese and coleslaw (3syns)
    S- fruit, toms, milk HE
syns - dunno yet - may swap my dinner for something quite synful :)

Hi louise, I obviously don't know how much you normally spend on food but I don't find doing SW that expensive. I have £200 per month to spend on groceries, cleaning products and toiletries for 2 of us and manage it easily. I buy all my meat from the local butchers which is slightly more expensive than the supermarket but much nicer and I also visit the local market for fruit and salad stuff every week. I've mentioned on here before, my shopping list never specifies what fruit/veg/salad I'm going to buy, i just have those headings then I see what is a good price and buy that, obviously I list specific items if I need them for a recipe though! Also, I meal plan for a week at a time so I don't end up buying stuff I don't need and also don't end up with nothing SW friendly in the house!!

WI for me tonight, had 2 people at work comment on how much weight I'd lost yesterday! That's pretty amazing really considering I work with all men!!

I'm not sure what day I'm having as I need to get lunch in town today so it'll depend what I end up with!

    Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), banana
Lunch - ? melon, pineapple and grapes for pud!
Tea - cajun chicken with peppers, onions and mushrooms, sour cream (?syns), potato wedges, maybe some salad, depends how much veg I put in with the chicken.

Lisa26 - i'd love your shopping bill, mine's usually £300-400 a month for 2 people! i don't shop at our local Aldi/Lidl because the fruit and veg always go rotten within a few days so everything comes from the supermarket/butcher.. must try and find a fruit and veg man at the market!!

Your tea sounds lovely - can i just ask how much chicken would you use in this? OH would expect 2 large fillets to be used which would cost £2-3 alone! I think i need to cut back his meat portions!

Food bills really make me annoyed - it's so expensive to eat healthily but so cheap to eat a packet of biscuits(usually on offer)!!

    Green day today for me...

    B - apple, yogurt, choc weetabix (2)
    L - HM Potato salad
T - some sort of canneloni using quorn/quark (cheese HEA)
S - crisps(4) satsumas, strawberries, milk in tea (HEA)

Hmm i don't have any HEB's so i'll have to have 2 ryvita fruit crunch to make up for it at some point..

    Have a good un xx

Yes I have a bit. I'm trying not to drink during the week, but sometimes that goes a bit pear shaped. I'm not planning to have a drink until Saturday, but who knows. I have been out walking most lunchtimes, 1 to stay away from the shops, and 2 to get some much needed excercise. I did go on a bit of a booze bender last fri & sat, and haven't done any real walking this week as I've had a stinker of a cold, so I'm not really expecting a loss tomorrow.

It's everything in moderation really. A pint of fosters takes me over syns for the day, so I'm trying really hard to be good food wise. Feeling a bit better today, so I will drag myself out this lunchtime and go for a 2 mile walk in my high heeled work boots (I forgot my trainers  :rotfl:)

    Hi

Hope im asking in the right place.

I need to lose weight least a stone.
just had a baby 7weeks old.
Booked baptism for 7th august so just over 2months time want to look my best.

Would slimming world be good for me?
    Im also breastfeeding.

    Theres 2groups near me.

sorry to sound dense but what happens at these groups?
    do you have to stay?

wondered if could attend for weighin and diet sheets as would have 2small kids with me?
Or do you reccomend doing it mainly online?
Thourght the groups would keep me more disiplined as ist next door to daughters school.

Need something easy not to complex to work out.
    Is it calorie countinng.
Hubby also wants to lose 2stone as well so could make us the same meals.

My freind said she found slimmers world expensive diet but im not sosure as looks tome like a healthy eating plan.
