A Slimmer Summer with Slimming World

Sour apples - I stew mine with some sweetener and they turn out ok - you get a big bowl full for a B choice too.
Well, been to WI and have lost 1lb :j and was slimmer of the week:rotfl::rotfl:How rubbish must have all of the other loses been this week?!
Still, I am just 2lbs away from my target now - I had a big talking to from the consultant about not easing off and being complacent - was just what I needed really as I'm starting to feel that way. She's done her best to motivate me to lose it in 2 weeks maximum - will try hard - promise!
Today's food...
Breakfast-Hifi bar (B choice)
Mid morning - banana
Lunch - free leftover bean chilli, raspberries and strawberries
Tea - jacket potato, beans and cheese (A choice) (lots of beans today - beware!)
Extras - 6 walnuts and brazil nuts (B choice), another Hifi bar (6 syns)
So that's 1 A, 2 B's and 6 syns so far.
Will probably have something else for a snack later - maybe a frozen muller or a 1.5 syn lolly.
Hope everyone else has had a good day. xx0 -
Well done evryone on your losses.
I don't have time to keep up with everything or post my food each day, but i've now had my first week WI & have lost 2.5 lb's. Not staggering but ok. If I can keep it up!!
i'm not to bad with food but my big problem is a couple of beers after work :beer:0 -
Well I took the plunge and joined tonight. If I am honest I am little overwhelmed by it and am worried that its going to cost me a lot more money in my food shop but I will give it a go

I think I will stick to the red/green days initially as I have heard that extra easy doesn't work as effectively.0 -
Hello joiners, well done losers :j
Had WI this evening and lost another 1.5lbs that takes me up to 10.5lbs now (in 7 weeks) i seem to sts one week then lose 1.5lb the next! strange pattern!
:oUnfortunately i celebrated with a bit too much icecream and cookies (and a bit of bread).. i'll pay for that tomorrow with a poorly tummy.
Louise22 - just take it one day at a time at the minute (thats what i'm still doing) and if you have any questions then someone will be around to help you out - just a warning though - if you ask me for syns, i'm rubbish at working the syns calculator!:rotfl:
Auntycat - could you change the beers to gin and tonic or something similar? less syns...
xxLouisexx56 - if the pasta/noodles aren't under the free foods tab then you'll find them in the "syns" tab, either put in the brand name or a keyword and it'll bring up a list that you can add to your food diary.
Right i'm off for an early night..
see you tomorrow.. xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Could anyone tell me the syn value for the Nescafe 3-in-1 sachets? I almost live on them and I'm figuring coffee, whitener & sweeteners must have some syn value considering how convenient they are :rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Shala-moo
I wish.... have always been a beer girl, don't like spirits. just trying to not go to the pub till Saturday & save up some syns for then. As long as work's not too stressy.........0 -
 I wonder what this means for all the SW cooking books then? Im thinking the curry ones where its all tom/pepper/onions/meat. or casseroles? especially the new ee ones they've just brought out.
I don't know how anyone else does their spag bols....but the recipe I follow (from SW) was to finely dice celery,carrot,onion......so it all ends up the same size (if not bigger than) the mince then the volume of toms I add outweighs the meat again..... so that in itself is over the 1/3 ratio however it cooks down. (the veggies dont break down much as they are too firm)
I don't get where they are coming from with it?
I just throw in very roughy chopped veg, don't bother about diceing. I find this really difficult to understand this but I suppose it's the same principle as not having stewed apple etc Isn't that because your portion sizes could go sky high if it slips down too easily???
Just tonight I made a big pot of lentil soup with onion, leek and carrots in. I've already eaten 2 bowlsful! Better get in quick before it's banned!
Strangely enough, my consultant was telling a bloke at our club last week that it's OK to make crisps with SW???
Maybe they should put it all on the website, seems like a lot of urban myths flying around.
Great news about the op dizzy and well done on booking the tickets minx
I've had an EE day, as ever:
B: NAS squash, HEB porage, HEA milk, banana
L: chunk of LO roast beef, beetroot (straight from jar) and grapefruit
boiled gammon, new pots, green beans, mushrooms, tomatoes
Snacks: 2 bowls lentil soup with veg disappeared in it!!0 -

Hi louise, I obviously don't know how much you normally spend on food but I don't find doing SW that expensive. I have £200 per month to spend on groceries, cleaning products and toiletries for 2 of us and manage it easily. I buy all my meat from the local butchers which is slightly more expensive than the supermarket but much nicer and I also visit the local market for fruit and salad stuff every week. I've mentioned on here before, my shopping list never specifies what fruit/veg/salad I'm going to buy, i just have those headings then I see what is a good price and buy that, obviously I list specific items if I need them for a recipe though! Also, I meal plan for a week at a time so I don't end up buying stuff I don't need and also don't end up with nothing SW friendly in the house!!
WI for me tonight, had 2 people at work comment on how much weight I'd lost yesterday! That's pretty amazing really considering I work with all men!!
I'm not sure what day I'm having as I need to get lunch in town today so it'll depend what I end up with!
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), banana
Lunch - ? melon, pineapple and grapes for pud!
Tea - cajun chicken with peppers, onions and mushrooms, sour cream (?syns), potato wedges, maybe some salad, depends how much veg I put in with the chicken.0 -
Morning folks!:hello:
Well done to all the losers:T:T:T
Dizzy – Good Luck for Friday:D
I had a really good day yesterday despite the bad news that my dance teacher is moving so I’ll lose some of my classes
Need to find another class or another enjoyable form of body magic!!
We had egg, SW chips and beans for tea (needed comfort food) and finished the day having used 2.5syns:A
Today:
B: ‘Fried’ potatoes and eggs, ketchup (1)
L: Salad with cottage cheese and jersey royals YUM!
Something creative with an aubergine that needs using up
No time for snacks at work today coz I‘m invigilating most of the morning :(but I’ve got fruit and yoghurt if I need it
As always HEB’s will be consumed for supper:D
Does anyone know how many chestnuts I can have as an HEB on a Green day????0 -
I'm off out for the day but have plenty of syns left to choose from the lunch menu and have some wine with it. Maybe my syn free Saturday was worth it after all?:)
I've had my SW breakfast: 2 boiled eggs, toast, NAS squash, tea
Lunch: who kw?
Dinner: maybe soup and a sandwich to use up HEBs and eat the soup before chopped, cooked veg is banned!
Also, must get some superfrees in, probably a grapefruit and some berries.
Have a good day all0
