    Hello!
Well I've tried to start the 7 day something today, I don' think I'ev done badly but don't think I've got 7 different speed foods. I've had loads though so hope it'll be ok. I'm totally bunged up and bloated, and am dreading weigh in tomorrow as a result, I know it's going to make a difference.
    Anyway, green again for me:
porridge with berries (HEB and Speed food)
    ryvita and banana
    about 4 satsumas (Speed)
    milk in tea (HEA)
babybel and krisprolls (HEA and B)
    huge punnet of strawberries (speed)
tagliatelle with lemon juice and salt and pepper
    about half a pineapple (speed)
And a packet of walkers baked crisps 5 syns

Loads of water, I'm sure I've had 2 litres, I'd had one and a half by 9am and then had about 4 more glasses through the day, and am now enjoying a diet lemonade, in a wine glass with a slice of lemon to make it feel special!!!

DS is out at a sleepover for the night so I've got my PJs on and am sitting on the sofa enjoying some peace!
    Happy Friday everyone!!

Do any of the long term SWers have the recipe for corned beef quiche? I know its not free anymore but I used to LOVE it and wouldn't mind using a few syns for it!!!

Was going to say something else but its gone now! My brain is like mush with all the worry about work!

Aww poor Dizzy, as if you don't have enough to deal with!!! Blackberry your comment about not opening your eyes when you get up in the middle of the night for a pee made me chuckle, I thought it was just me that did that! Then I read that consultant31 does that too ....... so we're all as bonkers as one another.
    /QUOTE]

I'm even more bonkers as my loo is downstairs I open one eye as otherwise I'd break my neck either on the stairs or on one of the dogs toys that he leaves everywhere. Wish I had an onsuite :o

    Hi all,

Had a good day - but with a few sins :D

b: boiled eggs with asparagus wrapped in smoked salmon
    s: melon
l: prawns in blackbean sauce with boiled rice
    s: apple and nana
d: Mediterranean chicken back thingy out of the May SW Mag - and very nice it was too :D and a LARGE glass of white wine!

But I have purposely not used all my sins all week because of today ;)

Just realised there is a serious lack of HEB in today's EE plan so will have two ryvita later.

Have also decided I am enjoying slimming world - with being able to eat out but making careful choices (would have been egg fried rice, and coke instead of water) and not blow the whole diet and give up!!
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Hello again, doesn't time fly when you are working hard, cleaning the house, doing the washing, feeding 2 kids, oh & trying to find time to get your head in gear to follow SW again! Apologies for posting & then running earlier in the week, the lovely welcomes were very much appeciated & Vmonsta, I have now located my SW books. They were hidden by all the slimming magazines I had been buying & then reading whilst eating chocolate bars!!

Would someone mind clarifying to me that if you follow EE, you must fill your plate with 1/3 superfree foods at every single meal even breakfast? I used to do SW when it was just red or green so am finding it hard to get my head round mixing meat & carbs together so freely on the same day.

And one more question...does anybody else start off with such good intentions, take their measurements, really commit in their head to losing the weight but then go on to sabotage their own efforts? I know exactly what I should & shouldn't eat, I go to the gym 4 times a week or more if I can get my eldest boy to babysit, I have thin clothes in my wardrobe but then I just decide to binge for no reason & really go for it. It is almost as if the devil on my shoulder headbutts the angel sitting on the other one & slam dunks her. I am sure that I can't be the only one who does this & would love to know if anyone out there has successfully managed to really ignore the nasty slamdunking devil. I would really love to hear any strategies or helpful hints.
Thank you. And have a great weekend evryone.

Is polenta free?... Or is it part of Healthy A or B? We love cooking polenta (especially OH - he is from North Italy, where it is a staple food!)

I have only joined this week, and I am trying hard to get to grips with all the rules. I weighed in at 13st 2lb, which is hard for me to understand, as I live in the 'metric world'! I even had to ask for a calculator to put my height in feet and inches on the form.

I have been good so far (I think), and I do feel like the weight is coming off slowly. I don't want to cause any health issues, but I do need to lose some quickly. We are hoping to have a second go at IVF soon, and I want to get my BMI below 29. I thin I need to lose about 12lb, and with appointment being in less than 3 weeks now, I am not fixating on that. As long as I keep losing the weight, I am happy.

Good luck with the IVF, been there, done that, got the proof :D one strapping 17 year old son [my pride & joy]. I know how stressful IVF can be so am sending positive vibes your way :grinheart

I feel positively saintly as have done a full working week on plan :D just hope the scales are kind come sunday :o
Delicate hugs for Dizzy, nothing worse than a bad head. Hope they sort your meds out soon. What with fax machines they should have been able to fax the letter straight away so you shouldn't have to wait for snail mail.

    Anyway another good day:
B - weetabix hot water/ splash milk [part a] coffee
Snack - pineapple, melon, satsuma, activia
    L - 2x wm rolls [2xb], lemon curd [3], toms, couscous fritta, breakaway [5]
T - cheesy pasta [cheese [2xa], toms, onions, mushrooms, peppers], bbq sauce [1]
Snacks - pineapple, melon, 2x apple, onken
    Syns - 9

Am on lunch duty 3 days in a row next week, hope the 3 lots of bread rolls don't cause problems :o.

It's free on Green as far as I know,

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/43552062#Comment_43552062

Someone else asked the other week! There was some argument beacause people were using it to make cakes but as far as I am aware (and verified by my ex consultant) it's free as long as you use it as it should be used i.e. not as cakes or puddings :D

No it clearly says on syns online that polenta is 5 syns per 28g. If you choose to take it as free and are happy with your losses fair enough but it is technically synnable.
