Hi DT! I'm definitely coming up to Liverpool, but I'm still not quite sure about trolling up on Sunday
sorry. If I feel the way I feel now, then I should be fine :j
Fancy coming up to Formby?
If it happens, actually, where *should* we meet?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Formby is fine by me just want to make it as easy as possible for you as I would love to meet - saw someone the other day and I thought that's what I imagine KC would be like interesting to see if I was anywhere near the mark

Thank you! Maybe we could compromise and do Crosby or something, and go see Anthony Gormley's figures? I'm really dreading being in a big crowd ... its maybe 4 stops ....
Mind you, I'm really worried now about what you think I'm like:rotfl::o:rotfl::o:rotfl:

I won't shoot you, honest!
The original idea was to see the marathon and cheer people on, but I don't think any MSE'ers are actually running anymore.
Formby/Crosby are as easy for me as it was for you to get to me.

DT - glad that your Mum has tried the talking books. In fact as I was on the train today listening to my audiobook, I had wondered if she'd tried them, as you've not mentioned them.
But other than her eyesight, she is generally in good health isn't she?Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Yes she is Gill and I am very grateful for that she had two heart attacks 5 years ago, ovarian cancer 11 years ago and breast cancer 20 years ago and has come through them all the only ongoing symptom being her short term memory loss after her heart attacks so has much to be grateful for but the deterioration in sight was so sudden and has had such an impact on her quality of life that it has been traumatic but I think we are all starting to adjust and she is now co-operating and putting the effort in that is needed if she is going to regain some of that quality whereas last week life was very difficult for all of us and there didn't seem much hope but it just shows what a difference a few days makes.

Can I share with you a weird childhood memory? When I was little, my paternal grandfather (who'd then have been about 75, i.e. much younger than your mum now) had diabetes, and was losing his sight ... but he also had a glass eye, as he lost that one in a motorbike crash in the 1920s. And me and my sister took turns, sometimes, in watching him at the bathroom sink, taking his eye out and washing it _pale_:rotfl:_pale_:rotfl:_pale_:rotfl: He was a typical bad-tempered Yorkshireman, but really, he had quite a lot to contend with :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
