Glad you had such a fab meet up with KC & Gill ... bet it did you the world of good :A Ummmm, not so sure I'd go quite as far as comparing you to Scottish witches :rotfl:
 Great news on the CC balance, that must be such a good feeling DT :T
Sorry the Job hunting thoughts have been put on hold, I do know what you mean about doing the "only for pennies" thing .... for me atm though, it's more about needs must and every little counts
I've got a couple of things I want to develop, which if I can grow them - will eventually give me not only a steady income, but a partially residual one (ie I get the work and pay someone else a cut to actually carry it out)

Hi DT! It's so amazing looking at your figures written down like that. You've climbed mountains, albeit through some difficult and challenging times.
I'm glad KC's Grandad memory could stay it's a fab one! My grandad could be difficult, I often used to ask why we didn't have one that sat with a blanket on his knee and a packet of werthers at his side! I wouldn't have swapped him for the world though.
Glad things are steadying up for you. How's your mom?One step at a time0 -
Greyhound I am not decrying the penny making I have done my far share too and each penny helps but I think there comes a point that you need to move on for your own sanity but I would do it again if needs must I just hope that I have moved further down the debt free road and that I can get a better life debt balance but that doesn't mean I am giving up debt busting far from it I have done several things in the last few weeks to save money which I had never considered before and each step makes a difference and often I think why didn't do I do this earlier but I think there are only so many areas you can squeeze at any one time.
Hi Hopeful Mom is OK in herself she has had the angiogram to see whether there is any blood supply getting to her eye but we have to wait for them to write with the results I am not over optimistic because if it is as they suspect what happened to her other eye over 40 years ago there was nothing they could do for that eye. She has started to enjoy the talking books so that helps things could be a lot worse.
How's you and yours?

:hello::j:hello::j:hello::j I'm back on mse!!!Hi DT! It's so amazing looking at your figures written down like that. You've climbed mountains, albeit through some difficult and challenging times.
She really has, huge amounts of debt dealt with...

My grandad could be difficult, I often used to ask why we didn't have one that sat with a blanket on his knee and a packet of werthers at his side! I wouldn't have swapped him for the world though.:D:D The grandfather-hero is on the other side of the family - he took me into Liverpool (on my own :j ) to buy a new teddy when mine was stolen, he bought me a little toy guitar, he took me on the canal, he played the banjo, he was so *cool* :j
Double_Trouble wrote: »Thanks for checking up on me things are going quite well had a lovely meet up with KC and Gill on Sunday although we did get a bit wet and windswept references to the three witches in the scottish play were made
I think the witches references were entirely appropriate:D:D though I could have wished that witches wore wellies in those days :rotfl:
My half yearly payday is approaching and I expect cc debt to go under 9K in the next few weeks down from 89K at its highest in Aug 05 and from 69K at LBM in Sep 08 I can't remember when it was last at that level
:j:j:j Excellent news!
I have given up on the job hunting front it is just not happening and realistically with the way things are at home a full time job is no longer feasible so back to look at other ways to up the income as we still have a huge mortgage to tackle most of which is interest only - but I need to do something that is worth my time I don't want to spend hours scratting around for pennies I have done that and I need to move on to something better - but still not sure what - finding something to sell on a regular basis would be good but spotting a niche market is not easy and there is a lot of competition out there brain engaged but nothing coming out as yet
Didn't realise you'd stopped altogether sweetie, sorry about that. As you know, I'm with you on the need to up the income in a severe way.GreyhoundAngel wrote: »Glad you had such a fab meet up with KC & Gill ... bet it did you the world of good :A Ummmm, not so sure I'd go quite as far as comparing you to Scottish witches :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: There was a definite witch thing going on - I'm definitely in favour of reclaiming witches as powerful older womenLove the sound of what you've got planned, Angel, that sounds right on the mark. I understand what you're saying about "every penny counts" too - but its a question of putting in unpaid time now to get a greater return so I can up the paltry amount thats been sitting for years in my private pension, which was started in the glory days but soon abandoned

Theres more than one way to skin a cat, and working the 9 - 5 with small kids can mess your head up. Ive really struggled and I have only one child under 5 (others are 23 and 11) and an established job, I hate leaving him, have to cram everything including time together into a few precious hours on a night, Its got to the point where I wont go out with DH not just for financial reasons but because Im squeezing every second out being with the kids.
Theres ebay, surveys, delivering leaflets, anything. If you can defer it a little while or even get something just over the Christmas period in M & S or something - do it. They arent little forever.
Just do what is right for you and yours and your sanity! (Im currently losing my marbles) hope your mam is still improving and that your eye of bat is holding up well ,xTrying to shift that debt!0 -

Ooooh, don't mistake me DT ... I was actually agreeing with you ... it ummm just didnt come out right ... might be cos I've just read it and realised some of it didnt quite make it from my copy n paste :rotfl::rotfl: Would be the one time I chose not to preview first
You're a bit further down the road than me hun, I'm still at the "paddle like the devil wherever n whatever makes things happen" stage ... even if it is by halfpennies and not £100's like I am determined it will be once I can get some steam going :hello::j:hello::j:hello::j I'm back on mse!!!

Nowt wrong with witches me dearies .... just not of the haggish macbeth variety  They be very scarey :rotfl:Didn't realise you'd stopped altogether sweetie, sorry about that. As you know, I'm with you on the need to up the income in a severe way.

KC - It's been a long time running around my head ... it's just not been the time to move it forward. I need "head space" to concentrate & focus on it as well as time and some financial stability (not to mention money to invest in it) - which with everything else I've been / I am dealing with, just hasn't happened. But it will!:ADouble_Trouble wrote: »Oh yes it the newts that are causing the problems :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hopefully if the worst does happen, she'll be receptive to new things, like the talking books, that will give her some fulfillment. Difficult times though, I know.
Me and my boys are ok. I've moved house and am beginning a new chapter as a single mom. Not how i planned things, but that doesn't have to mean things can't be good. It's really set me back with tackling debt as every spare penny is going on things for the house, but i'm learning to be patient (ish!!).One step at a time0 -
