I know we are fortunate where we live Gill although the weather is conspiring against us at the moment
and I am planning some cheap days out but the nature of our jobs means that we are never off call so hard to get a real break. Told mother of foster child not to send him home early yesterday as she has done every day this week "because he's tired" err that would be why when he gets here he runs round like mad playing as we would be going out and would not be back early we weren't but I am sick of having to abandon my tea every day just because she wants to get rid of him and she moaned and said we should be there if she wants to send him home I am sick of that woman thinking that we are her lap dogs to do as she says when she says it and then moan about what we do the last time it was moaning because we had change him into fresh pyjamas err that would be because he was soaking wet through from his overnight nappy as she is giving him too much juice when the HV has said to only give him water what is her problem she gets fresh clean pyjamas I wash the dirty ones Ok they are different ones to the ones she sent him back in but what does that matter I buy them all anyway she just likes to moan about us as she thinks that makes her parenting look better
Sorry things are getting to me that normally would just go over my head

Hi DT
Sorry you are finding things tough at the moment. Are you able to talk to DH about how you are feeling?
Has DH managed to get much paid work yet? I suppose he does not have the time for another part time job??
If I think of anything else I will let you know.

Yes DH is a good listenerhas to be when I am in full rant mode :rotfl::rotfl:
No he is not able to get a part time job would not fit in with what he does now in fact he is doing more as his colleague is cutting down but no paid work coming his way and no real prospects of any unless there is a plague or something and can't really wish for that can I :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's me that needs to find a job but there is not a lot about here nothing in my field and people think you are over qualified for run of the mill minimum wage jobs and that you will leave if something better comes along and who wouldn't I check the job sites daily for anything that's a possibility but nowt

Sorry to hear that things are so tough.I don't have any answers either I'm afraid but can offer you a hug. It's a tough call on the holiday home have you put potcards in paper shop windows in your area and seen if you can get any bookings from that and possibly post some postcards out to family in other areas of the country to put in papershop windows for you..all I can think of at the moment0

Oh DT i wish i could help you. I feel like my head is in a similiar place to yours at the moment. It's extremely frustrating!!
Trying to focus on 1 situation at a time is helping me. Do you have enough friends and family who would be interested in renting your property so that you still have some income but without the risk of being sued?
You may want to focus on the breathing though to start withThat's definitely the best advice so far from Gilligansyle!

I am breathing
It is frustrating but I refuse to give up
I feel with family and friends that I have to let it to them more cheaply so that defeats the object:(
I have a quote for the insurance for the villa which this time includes all the liability we need and it is £349 so not as bad as feared so will now shop around and see if I can get it any cheaper.
I think I will change who we advertise the villa with and put up the price so that we no longer make a loss we may get less rentals but if it is empty there will be lower electricity/water bills whilst its empty. Better to have a few better quality rentals than a lot of cheap rentals less wear and tear on the property too.
So that's one thing I need to sort although the villa is let all summer so no great rush but of course I have already had the money so no more income until I get some more deposits so in that sense the sooner I get it sorted the better.
On the job front I will continue to look but not spend a lot of time on this over the summer as I want to enjoy the holiday with my kids.
But I do want to start making stuff for Christmas so that I get this sorted as cheaply and as soon as possible.
The other thing I have decided to do is ebay everything I don't need I have never sold anything on ebay so this is a biggy for me but I would really like to ebay my overdraft away as this is really annoying me and I am sure that if I look carefully I will find lots of stuff just need to research what things go for.
It will also help declutter which is always a good thing.
OK that is definitely more positive - I will survive somehow.

You can do this, i know you can
As to foster child's parents- well that is the reason he/she is with you. No amount of her moaning can change that and just note it all down and tell her you will be available from such a time onwards- as you also have a family and otherwise that is tough on her. You have done all you can and now that is up to her.
It is hard about the Villa, it may be worth putting it up for sale anyway-you never know.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I think you are like me over ebay DT, its fine in theory, I've just never got round to doing it.
You sound a bit more positive, and are creative enough that Christmas should be OK. If you get the voucher deals you got last year you're well on the way.
As for foster childs mother - as bob says, that's why the child is in the system in the first place presumably.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
