  • Thanks I feel all clued up now! Cheers for filling me in!Will keep an eye out for receipts you never know! As I only ever buy whats on offer anyway mine are never cheaper at Asda but other people might not be as savvy as myself so worth keeping an eye out you never kn ow!

You'd be surprised - the savvy shopper I believe is still very much in the minority. So many people are pressed for time these days that they will on the whole try to buy whatever is a great offer at the time they shop, like some of Asda's roll backs or special bargains. The latest one that springs to mind quickly is their countrylife butter - 50p for a 250g block. However, we all know, that once inside the cosy confines of aisles and aisles of tempting goodies, whispering your name, that other things you hadn't expected to buy or that you know to be "similar" in price to other supermarkets ends up in your trolley. Now these are the items that tend to be what gives rise to a lovely voucher for us wombles.

One of the best times I have found for wombling is bank holidays (not so much today, too drizzly) - Easter was great. Lovely weather, impromptu bbq's - quick visits to Asda to buy the spoils for a boozy lunch. Throw a light breeze into the mix and you have yourself a perfect scenario for a fully paid up womble's delight!
I'm really warmed by your post, I think more people should realise its all about karma, what goes around comes around.

    Keep on wombling :D

Aww, thank you. I do believe in Karma, very much so and with life as it is, so many of us tend to forget our conscience - it is quelled by our busy-ness. Its always a good point to start with life's dilemmas. Bring back the often forgotten conscience I say! lol.
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

Wombled a few reciepts today. (six of them:o)

Do you enter them all regardless, or are you selective and only put in big ones?

I think a lot of you are being very unfair to Symnz. I came on here a couple of years ago to say that I had been arrested in Sainsbury's. I expected support as I hadn't done anything wrong. Instead I was called a troll and it was only when I scanned and emailed my arrest thing to a couple of regulars that they vouched for me and I was believed. I also helped another lady (privately) who was arrested in Tesco's and is a member on here. She was also innocent of any wrong doing. Can't you go easy a little - you never know when you'll need help or just to be believed.

    i agree...

sometimes it takes alot of guts to post anything at all on this forum,
perhaps henlans and brother have done wrong but are any of us whiter than white where this promotion was concerned?

just being nosey but i am interested to know more about your story and the other anonymous story??

i do think it is very useful to here other peoples experiences on how they have been treated in these supermarkets just for caution's sake.

Hope the response to Symnz's story doesn't put you off sharing?

I can confirm that nothing illegal was done, The police had a 20 minute talk with him and they comfirmed that the vouchers was legit. He had reciepts to cover the vouchers but didnt need to show them to the police.

The police said to him that he has not broken the law and allowed him on his way with a few choice words about "loophole" and about how well he had done.

Yes, We broke the sprirt of the promotion and so did a lot of other people. When people use vouchers for websites that are for people within a email and then share with others that is a breech of terms. My own opinion is that some people are jealous :) Just as you have yours I have mine.

Tesco has even broke there own terms. A few people on this forum have broken the following rules.
Price Check vouchers cannot be redeemed against purchases of petrol, lottery, tobacco, infant formula, cafe, pharmacy, gift cards and mobile phone top up or at the Tesco Direct Desk.

The number of Price Check requests is limited to 10 per calendar month per household and the total amount of Price Check Vouchers that can be claimed is limited to £100 per calendar month per household.

Only one Price Check Voucher may be redeemed per household per day.

Some people think its ok to break one term and not to break another, Some people openly tell others on this forum.

This is my final message on this subject, I just wanted to share, and yes.. If someone had told me about this I would have been shocked and have doubts but thats your own opinion! Multi Billion Pound company treats a customer like this. Its shocking!

The only person that is at fault is the tesco's company for bringing out a promotion that is open for loopholes, Changing the promotion and giving its asda customers 1 hour notice etc. Tescos own fault not training there staff to mark the recipts etc. If a loophole is open to people that will do it! Its human nature (my opinion)

If your going to use a loophole then you do it! Its personal choice. The reason im opening about it is that I dont care for this companys that rip the !!!! out of us every day! Enjoy!

not sure if that post is directed at me personally henlans?
hope you didn't take my post the wrong way-i was wondering if flowerclipper could elaborate on his/her story?

i wish you luck and am in no way jealous of your stash, i think i will be outliving my own:D, i worry if i died would my OH know where the whole stash was and what to do with it!!

i have never denied i abused the spirit of the promotion, if you remember previously what i did object to was the encouragement and boasting of reuse of vouchers that was all.......but lets not start that argument/debate again!

anyway thankyou for posting i do think it was brave of you and glad you did
