Tesco Price Checker Thread #8

Good day today;
Used 3 vouchers on same belt, and on one got charged £9.49 for some sealant when SEL said £5.49. CS confirmed wrong item behind SEL (and no other £9.49 SEL anywhere near) so she gave me £8 (DTD) refund.
Add to that unsigned receipts, staff still not knowing what to do!I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!
Quidco and Topcashback, £4,569
Shopandscan, £2,840
Tesco Double The Difference, £2,700
Thomson EU261/04 Claim, £1,700
British Airways EU261/04 Claim, EUR12000 -

damm nice to see this thread still going. We had some fun last month. just sorting out some coupons for my next planned shop pitty its no longer DTD
Atlest this thread has done one thing for a LOT of us. We will never pay full price again with out shopping around. Hell I print shopping lists now and never pick up anything over that.
For example my next planned tesco shop is £40 as i have a £6 off £40 spend and I will be eather getting all items that I can use to get a voucher OR going as cheap as I can where I know tesco is cheaper0 -

I've also started using lists, I keep checking the tesco misprice and 1p threads as well before shopping.
Because of all these threads I now have enough wine, razors, tomatoes, chilli con carne and brown sauce to last a year put that with the cleaning products, toilet rolls, shampoo and sun cream from the DTD days and I will have reduced shopping bills for many months to come.
Right Im just off to buy the News of the World for the £5 off a £40 spend at morrisons as I can use that at Tesco too.

GRRRR!!!
Generated 2 new £20 vouchers from buying the meal deals. Went to Mr T to use new vouchers. I went to the same lad that served me no problem (used £20 voucher, he didnt ask to see receipt) the evening before, only this time as soon as I pulled out the voucher he shook his head and said he needs the receipt, so I handed it over, he signed it AND kept it! So in less than 24hours he's gone from not batting an eyelid to the quickest reaction of 'need receipt' I've even seen! Not happy. At the same time, my OH went to another till to buy a game with a voucher, he didn't get asked for the receipt which he had in his pocket ready.. YAY!! Only to take the receipt out of his pocket to put it in the centre console of the car (so he says), nowhere to be seen now! So he's gone and lost a receipt which has never been used. I AM NOT HAPPY!0 -

Thank you for the replies and support guys. I phoned CS last night and spoke to a guy who was very good and apologetic. He is putting a gift-card for the voucher amount in the post for me, and said he will speak to the store in question. I described the head trout to him too so hopefully she will get called up on it.
He also took the codes from the bottom of my voucher and said he find it in the system and cancel it as he was sending the gift cards...not sure how that works exactly. But just thought I'd mention it as a warning to come that they maybe can trace how many times a code is being used and such.
I went into Tesco today and was pretty scared about it but thank god head trout wasn't working, haha.0 -
I love the way tesco staff tell these stories!
There's no way he can cancel a voucher from the numbers at the bottom, as he would have to get the generic barcode blocked nationally which would mean all £10+ vouchers would not work.
The only thing he could possibly do is flag that voucher so if they get it redeemed they could realise but that is very very unlikely!0
