i had a shop today which went wrong...and ended up at CS who put my meal deal items thro manually...so the turners came up as £7 DOH. I entered my voucher from yesterdays shop but still havent heard anyting back....
Is that usual?0 -
I'm planning on buying the Ariel Excel Gel Colour, at Tesco it's 667ml and at Asda it's 666ml. Will they compare?
If they do compare, it is a good deal (if you're buying it anyway).
T: 4.50
A: 3.00
Voucher for £1 on supersavvyme.
Spend 3.50, TD: 1.500 -

He is putting a gift-card for the voucher amount in the post for me, and said he will speak to the store in question. I described the head trout to him too so hopefully she will get called up on it.
He also took the codes from the bottom of my voucher and said he find it in the system and cancel it as he was sending the gift cards...not sure how that works exactly. But just thought I'd mention it as a warning to come that they maybe can trace how many times a code is being used and such.
I went into Tesco today and was pretty scared about it but thank god head trout wasn't working, haha.
I should not worry about them tracing how many times a voucher is used. The barcode on the voucher is directly related to the amount and as far as I can work out is not related to the receipt code on the bottom. Tesco only have themselves to blame for the fiasco that is the Double The Difference promotion. However the way some of the staff behave towards customers you would think it was coming out of their pocket. I have enjoyed every moment of this promotion and still it continues with the Meal Deal glitch. In a way I cant wait for it to be completely over as I feel a strong letter of complaint about the attitude of the staff in my store. Happy shopping all.0 -
Okay i have been off for a while and just trying to catch up. I see people are still posting deals on here showing Asda is cheaper and therefore getting a voucher but ia m confused (easily done) is there any reason stocking up on items now when you only get teh difference back. Think i must be missing something
Thanks0 -

Some people do not have an Asda near their house but do have a Tesco. So, buying from Tesco and then doing a pricecheck and getting just the difference back is still a good saving for them.
Others still have DTD vouchers left to use, so they are using these to generate another voucher even if it is just for the difference.
e.g. using a £20 voucher to get back a £10 voucher.0 -
I love the way tesco staff tell these stories!
There's no way he can cancel a voucher from the numbers at the bottom, as he would have to get the generic barcode blocked nationally which would mean all £10+ vouchers would not work.
The only thing he could possibly do is flag that voucher so if they get it redeemed they could realise but that is very very unlikely!
That's what I thought, but who knows with Tesco! I don't really see how they'd flag it up either really. :huh:0 -

Why not try it again on the Pricechecker and see if it still pops up (use an email address like z@z.com or something else similarly ridiculous).
If it does then he was bluffing.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

I have not entered a receipt in a few months (since they started getting funny about things and trouts were being just plain nasty to people), so can anyone tell me the current wait? I have just entered my online shopping receipt now. When shall I expect my voucher? Thanks0
