Be careful with cooked meats/rare steak etc. due to Listeria, don't underestimate it.0

I was very lucky and had no morning sickness, although felt incredibly sick. I was also unable to stay awake past about 7pm, and never knew what I wanted to eat. My poor OH bombarded me with lovely meals that I'd requested, only for me to eat a few mouthfulls before being too full, or simply not wanting to eat it - it was only when I got to about 17 weeks that I realised how shocking I felt during the first 12!!!!0

I fainted when we were queuing up to pay for our shopping in Safeway on a very busy Saturday afternoon. Very embarrassing!0

Eeeeeeee this thread has made me want to do a pregnancy test and run up to OH and scream I'M HAVING A BABY.
Only, he'd turn around and go, yes dear, you've known this for 28 weeks.....Money money money.

I fainted all the bloody time lol. My ex ended up banning me from grocery shopping because it kept happening in tesco's every time we went there.
Tuna, shark and other fish that haves long lifespan or that eat other fish that have a long lifespan accumulate an amount of mercury in their system from the water. Needless to say mercury poisoning = bad! It's a really minuscule trace amount but if you eat a lot regularly then that does mount up and can certainly be enough to affect an unborn developing baby. There was one child who wouldn't eat any meat except tune and it was found to be the cause of him developing learning difficulties. I read way too many books when pregnant hehehe.
I missed peanuts and my Mums lambs liver and bacon casserole in the winter.
Common to get constipated too, oh the joys lol but it's certainly all worth it in the end."Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0 -

Massive congratulations to you....make an appointment with your doctor to get the confirmation of your pregnancy and a midwife referral...its great that you have done so many dip stick tests but you will need to let the doctor do one more...so take a sample along with you to the appointment...your doctor will also be able to confirm you due dates etc ....but its never too soon to get a midwife in place...best of luck and enjoy...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Good advice, although my doctor never did an additional test for any of my pregnancies. I just told him I'd done a home test that was positive and he was fine with that.0 -

Same here with mine - most GP's nowdays will simply make the referral to the community midwife.
Congratulations OP! x0 -

Would like to know more about this please?
My youngest daughter is exceptionally bright (classed as gifted and talented). Predicted A's in all areas, doing multiple languages and musical talent to boot. Was reading KS2 levels at nursery.
She also wouldn't eat meat and lived off tuna. We still get through 3-4 cans a week although she now does eat chicken and the occasional sausage as long as they are not 'fatty'!
I know one case can be very different than another. I also know that environment and diet can affect development as much as genetics. I also know that tuna is a healthy option to give children, and would love to see some substantiation on this rather bold statement.
Thanks in advance.
