I hope he won't have seen your status on FB, or that no-one on your FB page has texted "congratulations" to him?!

Fabulous news, let us know how he reacts!

I told my OH in the middle of a row! I'd been feeling a bit weird for a few weeks but had a light bleed a couple of weeks previously so dismissed the idea. I bought a test but didn't bother to use it. We had a blazing row about something or other and I thought that I had better do the test, just in case. (I thought that if he left me, I'd better know what I was dealing with, drama queen that I am lol!)

Obviously, it came out positive and when we started arguing again later on, I shouted "oh yeah, I suppose you're just gonna abandon me now that I'm pregnant".......he carried on shouting at me then suddenly went all pale and said "what did you say?" I just laughed, so did he and we finally stopped arguing because we were so excited! I really didn't mean to blurt it out like that, I had big ideas about how I was going to tell him but I as I said, I am a bit of a drama queen! :rotfl:

(Turned out that I was around 12 weeks already by then. When we first saw the midwife, she thought I may be expecting twins as my tummy was big for the dates. Poor OH nearly had a heart attack, no wonder he has grey hair lol!)

Big congrats OP, hope hubby lands safely!

Congrats hon! I found out on April Fools Day (of all days!), and only because I'd been throwing up for nearly a week!

My darling hubby has just popped out to get us a takeaway. He is still completely shell-shocked and has had a huge cheesy grin across his chops since I met him earlier.

So much for all my big plans on how to break the news. I was stood in arrivals at Heathrow thinking about what to say. The minute I saw him though my heart melted and I was completely overcome with emotion. I ran over to him and we had the biggest hug.

Somehow in a mix of uncontrollable giggles and dissolving into tears I managed to garble out 'Im pregnant, you are going to be a daddy'. He stood there for a few seconds looking stunned, then as the news sunk in he was absolutely over the moon. Ive never seen him cry before. Tears of joy the pair of us.

Gawd only knows what the rest of Terminal 3 made of us. To be honest I didn't notice anyone else in those few moments, it was all so special.

Before he left the house he said to me, blimey its gonna be really hard not telling a soul till we get past 12 weeks. Mmmmm yeah tell me about it. Must get on facebook next and swear all my mates to silence :o

It is a lovely post for all the people on here trying to conceive. Especially as it took a couple of years and came when you least expected it. N'awww.
