Just a quick post before I really get going. Just had a big cooked breakie to set us up for the day and now heading off into the garden. It's a beautiful day and I would love to be relaxing but there is so much work out there to do

Definitely declutter as much as possible and box up non essentials in preparation for the move, it will make things go so much quicker on the day

http://www.iammoving.com/ is another great site for informing services of change of address.0 -
Update:
Majority of garden is now done and it's looking reasonably neat and tify. Mrs Ging is just jet washing the patio (she does like her little toy) and then i just have about 10 more pots to plant up. Hopefully get some nice photos seeing as the sun is still shining.
Next task will be the magazines in the lounge I think....

I'm moving this Wednesday and there were a few things on the 'people to tell' list i had forgotten about - Cheers

Received a link to this through work a few weeks ago

Personally I've not signed up for it as the downside of some freebies is that your data is passed on to the sponsors and you will get a few sales calls, but i thought it would be good to share (if it hasn't been mentioned before)0 -
Well, didn't quite get to the magazines today (probably best to do one or two a day anyway) but we have finished the garden!!!! Photo's have been taken and emailed over to EA

Cupboards in bathroom and porch have also been finished. I plan in my new home to leave it six months and then tell Mrs Ging we're moving again.... it seems to get jobs done that have been waiting for a long time - 5 years in one case!

We now have 47 properties saved on rightmove.... how the hell will we ever choose!!!0

Morning all,
Mrs Ging and the kids are off at school/work and I have the house to myself for the first day in what feels like forever!!!
Main task of the day is to get the paperwork in the hallway under control. I started last week to put into place a new filing system based on the american Freedom Filer system (although in a more MSE way of course!) and I need to finish this off. It's taking a while to set up but hopefully once it's there I will never again have piles of paper all over the place
.
I think in addition I really need to set up a house moving file as we already have quite a bit of paperwork and we've only just got going.
Once all that is done I need to give the house a general clean and do some baking for this week's school lunches. i also have some paperwork to get into my line manager today that will take a couple of hours and I need to start reading for the next essay of my uni course. Having breakfast might be an idea too :rotfl:.
Have a good day, Ging x0 -
Morning Ging.
If you belong to freecycle or freegle, boxes are often offered on there. I posted a wanted ad and received some.
Also bought some large plastic boxes with lids for paints or anything liquid etc to used in shed.

Oooohhh, just discovered a friend is moving on thursday so I'm going to contact her to see if she has any boxes over
