Good morning to you all :D

Mad had a bit of a heavy session last night:beer: Decided against cooking and made myself some sandwiches instead. Went to sit down at the table when out of nowhere the hoover decided to tackle me:eek:
Sandwiches went flying, Mad went flying, managed to hold onto me can of beer though;)

Oh, Byatt, I feel so much for you. I know how much a pet can mean to you, and when they are not well it is just awful. It's really understandable that you are so upset, and of course you have been crying. I can remember crying for days when my cat was really ill, but can only feel a bit of what you are going through. I'm sorry I can't be of much actual help to you,and I know that I am only a newbie, but I hope that you know how much we are all thinking of you and that we are always here to listen.

    Take care

Celebrate, might be worth mentioning to Tesco? You shouldn't have to put up with that when shopping (or anytime, but T should provide a safe environment). The SA should have reported it tooI think.

  • Oh Byatt, Im so sorry. Your news about poochy kind of makes my pm to you irrelevant. I am sorry you are upset and do hope your circumstances allow you to move forward with treatment. Hugs to you x

Morning everyone, very upset and can't stop crying. My pooch had an op last November, for various lumps but the main was in her mouth (or lip as the vet now insists), but the one I was most concerned about, the one on her lip was not removed. Went to another vet, recently and it turns out is is cancer. Wrote a letter to my previous vet who I have now spoken to on the phone (she called me 4 times yesterday but I was out)...insists that the lump was not there, insists that I hadn't mentioned it; says the consent form agreed to what was to be done (I don't recall anything being listed as she says)...says I didn't pay for the lump to be removed so why would I get a refund. Said she was very upset that I was upset and that she was a softy...basically, I felt like I was being called a liar and expected something for nothing (although eventually offered to do the op at a reduced rate as a gesture of goodwill, but I don't want to put pooch through it again.) She had removed gum tissue which hadn't been discussed prior to op and now insists I signed a consent form for this. Insists the lump wasn't there and if it was I should have marked it. I said how could I do that, it was in her mouth and she said it was the lip you could have done it. She said when I asked the nurse at the checkup about it that I only mentioned her mouth (it seems the lip is not her mouth!).

There was more, but the bit where she said she had always been mindful of my financial situation (since ex left), meaning she had given some discount (which I don't believe), just made me burst into tears. I feel mortified and I don't know why and can't stop crying.

The bottom line is she missed the lump irrespective of whether she didn't charge me for not removing it. But the worst, is that she is denying it and I've been at that vets for years. Years. I only wanted a refund so I could pay for any treatment (not op) for pooch. I sold my car so I could pay for the last one. I trusted the vet completely and never questioned her when she immediately suggested an op. The lump on her mouth (lip) was the main thing, everything else was extra so she would only go through one op. And the gum tissues was never mentioned.

    Sorry for the whine. :(

thats awful sending you (((((big hugs x))))) dont be sorry for the whine xx
