Hi everyone, back from the poll clerking and absolutely kna...oops tired... 15 hours of meeting and greeting and pointing directions.

I realised I have become something of a recluse in the last 2 years, so being around so many people was a shock to the system! At least my social skills were still there :rotfl:and sense of humour (which was needed). One lady told me she could read, thank you very much, when I asked if I could help... :o

and so many couldn't remember their address when asked. They looked at me like rabbits in the headlights, especially some of the older men. I tried to reassure them and we got there in the end.

Anyway, interesting day. Lots of people brought in their dogs which was fun!

Celebrate I'm sorry you had that awful experience, and from the rest of your post it seems it's a common occurrence which is terrible. I'm not surprised you were upset, no-one should have to deal with that. (((((((Celebrate)))))))

    Night all... xxx

Looks like you have one of the older boxes - does it say on the outside of the box whats included, ie nappies, wipes and coupons.

Old boxes just say coupons ie £2 Huggies newborn and £2 swimmers, new boxes say £5 coupons on the outside of the box and this is the one with the wipes coupon in.

Thanks must be the old box will look for the new one next time
Starting to save £2 coins again, but it is a struggle:rotfl:Not doing very well keep spending them

don't know if this will help
The problem is that most of these coupons have a link that is meant to be printed in a certain browser (i.e. Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari). When you try to print a coupon in a different browser than was intended, you will get one of those annoying messages

The trick below is made by just changing two characters in the link.

The following is a Firefox link:
    hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wg&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

Note the “wg” in the URL (I have put it in bold for you). This is telling you it is a Firefox link.

To make that link an Internet Explorer link, you will simply change the “wg” to “wi” or “vi”. It will take a little trial and error to determine which combination will be the fix. The easiest way to make this fix is to paste the original link into a Word document, make the change needed and then paste the corrected link into the address bar and press “enter” on the keyboard.

If the link had a “wi” or “vi” it would be an Internet Explorer link. To make it print in Firefox, just change the “wi” or “vi” to “wg”.

You can also use this trick to print coupons in Safari. Just replace the “wg”, “wi”, or “vi” to “xs”. And to get a Safari link to print in a different browser, change the “xs” to“wi” or “vi” for Internet Explorer or to “wg” for Firefox.

    or try this Genmod

On your toolbar, click on Tools, then Manage Add-ons, then Enable or Disable Add-ons. Look for the names CouponBar and Cpbrkpie Control. Both of these must be enabled. When I checked mine, the Cpbrkpie was disabled. Once I made that little change, I've been printing coupons ever since!

Thank you so much for your suggestions Aesop, I will certainly give it a try. Feeling very tired now and I was so fed up with my laptop that I have packed it away for tonight and I am off to bed in a minute. Not sure if I will get a chance to try again tomorrow but if not I will certainly try Saturday and will let you know how I get on. Thanks again.

Celebrate Just wanted to leave a ((hug)) for you after your awful treatment. Sadder still that you have become used to this kind of behaviour. :(

    Hi,

Great thread you have here, very friendly and helpful. I like many others have gravitated here after DTD (and prior to that R&R) and although I have used many a coupon in Tesco in the old days, I didn't realise there was a dedicated thread here on MSE.

I just thought I would share some info and vouchers I have spotted.

The Iceland Magazine available free instore, has a number of MOC:

50P off SFC Pop Pops 600g
    50P off Clover 500g
50P off Youngs Cod or Haddock Fillets 500g
50P off Heinz Salad Cream 460g
    50P off Carlsberg Export 4x568ml
50P off Ben and Jerrys Fudge Brownie/Cookie Dough 500ml
75P off Fanta, Fanta Twist, Dr. Pepper 6x330ml
    £1.00 off Fosters 4x568ml
    50P off Iceland Chocaberry/Crunchy Caramel Meltdown 500g

Not sure how useful they are as I noticed the Ben and Jerrys is full price where as Tesco has it half price at the moment.

Anyway the info was to do with Tesco acceptance of competitor conditional spend vouchers. I am sure I read a while ago somewhere that they accept the Farmfoods vouchers. I see its not on the list in the first posts but I am pretty sure I didn't dream it!
I might just give it a go....

Tesco DID accept these up to a few months ago, when they then stopped accepting them due to excessive usage/abuse. :(:(
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)

Morning Jeferey, Aesop and Everyone :hello:

Good luck with the dentist Aesop. I've just finished a series of treatment including 2 root canal fillings .

Can I count 2p I found in my garden as roadkill?
    :)
