I would have been upset too, but the stubborn part of me.... take my sweet time with everything from scanning the cc, packing my bag, finding my £1.... paying in loose change if I had it.... dropping things on the floor, so have to pick them up again.... make the t**t wait longer! then as I am walking away, smile sweetly....

in my asda they have taken the SEL down and the shelf is now brimming but still scanning at 50p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just had an awful experience in my other local T, didn't think it could get any worse than other recent experiences i've had, but i just had a torrent of abuse by.......another customer........

guy in the queue behind me was tattooed and hair shaved (NOT THAT I'M MAKING ANY SWEEPING GENRALISATIONS!) . I did a £28 pound spend used my £2 sainsburies spit, and £5 MOCs and £20 DTD, £1 to pay. The Sa was lovely a young boy and I had picked up 3 gift cards in the hope that he may let me use my DTd vouchers on them. At this point the guy behind began "f'ing this and that, racist words included, these f'ing people with vouchers.....

I was shocked and nearly reduced to tears but not quite-i've had worse abuse over 39years and have pretty thick skin. No-one said anything and the SA was so embarrassed he couldn't get my giftcards through fast enough.

Only thing I was worried about in the car was whether the SA had in his rush put the gift cards through properly. Receipts all looked ok though. Phew!!! Only a couple of vouchers to go now plus a womble for 50p!!! Will be soooo relieved when they are ALL GONE!

Thats awful, Celebrate, what a total ******* he was, but don't be upset, he is a sad old loser, and you walked away with dignity and your head held high.

Just a pity you didn't use VC's comments to shut him up.:rotfl::rotfl:

I had a similar idiot a couple of years ago, a lad aged about 17-18 with his father. It was in the good old days of couponning and I handed the SA over 50 coupons. I can't remember how much my shop was but I used to carefully add it up so I never spent more than a pound or two on my shop. He whinged like a baby about coupons, and he wouldn't bother for 20p. I said nothing until I paid, then turned to my DS before leaving the till and said something like "who's the loser the person who gets £50 of shopping for £1 or the person who pays full price". Let's just say there was silence behind me.

So well done for keeping your cool.:T:T

    Take care.

Sorry, VC, but you made me laugh, its just what we would all hope to have the guts to say, but know we shouldn't. But it was funny anyway.:rotfl::rotfl:

You should have been given a "gift activation receipt", with the details of the top-up....it comes out AFTER the main receipt.

If you didn't get them, you can still check the balance online here
http://www.tesco.com/giftcard/tesco-gift-cards.asp using an option on the left hand side.

Thanks guys, I feel better already!:rotfl:

In times gone by I may have said something but I have a bit more dignity about me now and can't be bothered. Upsets me if my kids are with me though.

Funny thing is people see my brown skin and automatically think I can't speak English so speak either down to me in a patronising way or talk about me as if I can't understand them.

Funny when the tables are turned and they come to see me as a patient you are treated in a whole different way.

    hi there.

also, has anyone been able to use the pantene coupons? i was refused twice at tesco, it just would not scan and the supervisor was having none of it... looked at me like they were fakes! cheek!

These pantene coupons are more trouble than they are worth. They never scan! Ive given up on them now.
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

    hi

i believe the flora cuisine is on offer for £1 at Mr T at the moment-obviously can't use this coupon with th it but works out better price anyway

can I ask what fairy coupon you are using in asda pls?

Also for use with the Supersavvyme coupons-the fairy liquid 650mls is £1 in Sainsbury's but 2 for £2.50 in Ts so although not free still 2 bottles for 50p

You should be able to print off 2 of each on the SSVM site
