hello ladies,
a few ins from me - but absolute bargains!! couldn't walk past them. I just happened (ahem!) to be passing the clearance shelf in boots, they had botanics minis for 10p - how could i resist, got 2 scrubs and 2 shower gels, plus a full size dead sea body scrub for 50p, then when i got to the til the minis were on 3 for 2 - so extra bargain, forgive me!trying hard to be debt free by the end of 20100 -
happy belated birthday Dr-Roberto:bdaycake:.
Welcome newbies - coming in thick and fast this month.
Couple of in's - avon order arrived this morning:
2 x SSS soft and fresh dry oil spray, hope this is the right one, I want it for the whole family to keep the bugs away but it doesn't smell very strong, anyone know if it's right? tia
1 x aromadisiac roll on perfume
1 x brow enhancer - tried this and am not overly impressed, has no colour really, just seems to be a gel.
If your Dry Oil Spray is the green one it is the right one, although one of the reps on Connects has a customer who swears the pink one works as well! Placebo effect maybe! :rotfl: If you're not happy with the brow enhancer then return it to your rep and ask for your money back - she'll be fine as that's what the 90 day guarantee is all about - without that we'd be the same as everyone else!Happy Birthday Dr_Roberto
I thought I'd done quite well too - I didn't pay full price for anythingThanks for the heads up on the cherry stuff - I'll hold back
One unexpected UU - BS Wild Cherry Body Lotion: WIBA? Have one in stash already. It's expensive at full price but would buy again when it's on sale as it's lovely and light for daytime and smells superIt was unexpected as I thought there was a few more days left but it was fooling me by clinging to the sides with nothing in the middle :rotfl:
With Avon, NEVER pay full price - you're quite right. As a rep you get to work out after a while what the "base prices" are on products - ie the lowest they are ever sold for - Senses shower gels for example are often on for 99p/£1, but occasionally, VERY occasionally, go as low as 75p. Naturals Haircare go down to 99p regularly, and every so often there is a Planet Spa offer with 3 products for £6 (I suspect this will be £7 next time round though).
I decided to take the Clinique SuperMoisture makeup back to Boots today - it was sold to me as a replacement for the Moisture Sheer Tint that they used to do, but frankly it just isn't anything like as light as I hoped it would be, and it also has what they call a "dewy finish" and I call "sparkle" in it, which I hate. I explained all this, and the SA was quite happy to swap it for the new Moisture Surge makeup stuff that there was the lovely sample of in Glamour - I am one VERY happy bunny as I shall thoroughly enjoy using that! Mum and I then had a lovely stroll around Boots, looking at nailvarnish colours and sniffing bath products, before leaving without spending anything! :A
Off for a bath in a sec - anyone else going to join me in a Friday night Pamper Party?! (Not literally, that would be just WEIRD! :rotfl:)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'd double check that 'cos I'm not sure you do .... I could be wrong though
ETA: From the BS website
Have you received your email??
I have never received an email from BS in my 'birthday' month.;) The £5 birthday spend does not need any money added to it. I usually oick something at £5 so free! :jLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
I'm home! So finally having a proper bath rather than a quick shower. Found a Lush ballistic on my dressing table so used that. No idea where it came from, but from the reaction in the water it was there a while
Added in some Per Una bubble bath, so currently relaxing and catching up. Maybe that's tmi :rotfl::rotfl:
Can't see my pot of the daily smooth in the bathroom, so will use girligo I think.
So one UU: Lush ballistic - WIBA? No idea as I don't have a clue which one it is or if it's even a lush one
Absinthe, the colour of crackle is lovely! Definitely recommended
If my spelling is ever American by the way, please excuse me, it's the keyboard on my phone. Won't install UK English for some reason :mad:No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

Saw a soap and glory Christmas tote bag in use today, a girl at the gym had it as her gym bag and it looked really good.
In bed already, no energy for pampering tonightbut when I did my skincare earlier I was pondering how strange my taste in cosmetics is. I absolutely love natural brands like Dr Hauschka and Trilogy but I equally love a few "laden with chemicals" products like Estee Lauder serum and Elizabeth Arden prevage, (mostly living off samples and GWP sizes of those cause they're too expensive for me)
Usually people who go for natural products are trying to avoid chemicals. Most of my favourite cosmetics are expensive but I love the cheap Aldi creams too which is handy when you're poor :rotfl:
I've not been buying things at all :A but I do have an in. I got 12 samples of a brand called NeoStrata from a rep in a local chemist
I've always sort of liked benefit, the big Lana bag and the gabbi bag have been my make up bags for ages but they are being so generous with the freebies lately that I'm very likely to purchase from them again. The freebies I'm talking about are the glamour mag ones and the mini skincare kit from the Debenhams beauty clubTotal debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

extreme couponers is on an online site - some of them sd join here.there was this 1 guy that had 1000 colgate toothpastes just because with coupons they were free!! or the lady with about 40bags of cat treats that didnt have a cat but they worked out as paying her to take them. i really wish companies would do that here, i mean its the same products so why cant they offer there uk customers the same sort of deals or at least some sort of deal :)wish i had taken advantage o the tesco deal more lol has celebrate made it back here yet?
Oh goodness, wish she would send me her cat treats!!
I bumped into Celebrate on a grabbit thread and she has declined to come back to this thread! I think she is still in major hoarding mode...!hello ladies,

Oooh lucky you - I bet not one person on here would have turned those offers down!I have never received an email from BS in my 'birthday' month.;) The £5 birthday spend does not need any money added to it. I usually oick something at £5 so free! :j
I have never recieved an email from TBS - won't I need this to get my birthday fiver then? Getting a bit worried I'm going to miss out!!
Didn't have time for pampering tonight as watched a good car bootie film, Firewall - just love Harrison Ford! tomorrow's another day though. Got to plant up my new arrival petunias so that's a good enough excuse for a full pamper afterwards as I will have mud in my nails!!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -

Stupid really as the closest airport to us is Cardiff but it added an extra £150 to the cost of our holiday so Bristol worked out so much cheaper even with the cost of petrol, parking and the bridge toll
Just sent an application off for a job in town that works at a drug charity - perfect for my subject area of my degree....fingers crossed (although I think Im well underqualified for the role)
Do just check with them where you have to get the tickets from and what time the desk is open as we once booked a holiday on Sunday and flew out Saturday, so obviously had to collect tickets for our 8am flight at Gatwick but the bl**dy desk didn't open till 6.30:eek: It was a bit manic to say the least!!!0 -

Morning ladies,
One UU to report here:
Boots Aromatherapy peppermint & nutmeg body lotion 50ml. WIBA? Can't sadly. It was a nice product but years old (75% sale) and I'm sure they don't make it any more.
The M&S almond hand & body cream which I was using for my hands is now my body lotion. I don't like the smell and this way it'll get uu quicker. So I started the No7 lift & luminate hand cream but not overly keen on this either. Also picked up some cheapo bath foam for OH - he hasn't noticed yet that I'm refilling his 'posh' bottles with the £1 a litre stuff
This leaves me with.....
NO BODY SCRUBS. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!
Wow! That is an excellent achievement, congrats!charlie792 wrote: ». I think I only have to put things into clear bags if it's in handluggage if I remember correctly which means I can just wack everything in the suitcase and not worry about it....hope I wont get searched next time
Yes, that's right Charlie. No problem to put your toiletries in the hold luggage, but make sure the bottle in your hand luggage are all less than 100ml.
Hello there! He UU the last of shower gel last week (already reported) and I sent him to get another out. He took 4 attempts to come into the bathroom with something that was actually a shower gel! He brought through body scrubs and all sorts bless him. QUOTE]
Men, eh? Mine would be just the same. I always have to put the new bottle out ready for him!a few ins from me - but absolute bargains!! couldn't walk past them. Sawan82 - that purple crackle is divine. As I'm off to England tomorrow, I think i'll have to pop into Debenhams and get one........

Oh My Good Lord
Flake Away won Best Exfoliator in the Channel 4 Beauty Awards :eek:
http://www.channel4.com/4beauty/make-up-skin-care/skin-care/best-exfoliator
Looks like Flake Away is the cosmetic industry equivalent of Marmite. I actually like it though I wouldn't buy it singularly as I prefer the S&G Spa Sugar Scrub.HOW BIG IS THE SHOWER PUFF FROM S & G????:eek::eek: Had to use two hands to get a shower this morning..... But judging by how much shower gel I used, I prolly have enough in my stash now to 'Keep Britain Clean'.....
I threw this body puff away in the end cos I just couldn't get into the nooks and crannies with it (maybe TMI!) lolKids finish school on 27th May so all holidays covering the week after that will be more expensive..... Its always the case.... It really winds me up, we can't take them out of school to go on holiday, but then tour operators increase the cost of holidays when the kids are off....
I remember Tony Blair saying Labour would do something about this but nothing changed apart from parents facing a backlash from schools who threaten to fine those parents who do take their kids out of school.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
