    Afternoon...

OH is determined to book holiday tonight - it leaves in less than 2 weeks! He wanted to book it last night but I told him not because his boss is so hopless and changeable he'll probably turn round to OH and say 'tough you cant have the time off now' so he's going to find out for sure today. Does mean if we end up going I have a crazy 2 weeks, we'd leave the day after my last uni exam! Although we still don't agree on the hotel, I want one in the main tourist resort but he wants to go to one in the older part...heyho he's paying so I guess he gets the deciding vote.
Will have to sort out a big stash of toiletries to take with me - guess maybe taking all the samples might be ideal? Not really sure, can't remember what I took with me last time I properly went away (3years ago!)

Oh dear, I have nipped into town this lunchtime to get a couple of cork noticeboards and called into boots, I ended up buying a Champneys body wash, the gwp and a time delay eye cream, cost £7.64 used a skinnie, 25% champneys voucher and got a total of 440 points. Too good to pass up, off to the naughty step for me:o.

Didn't go into SD and have now just remembered i wanted to sign up for the loyalty card. Also avoided BS, have a £10 off £25 spend but I do not need £25 worth of stuff and don't want to spend £15.

I have one uu today to slightly make up for it - impulse New York body spray, wba, really like this one.

Has anyone tried the new spa range that Sainsburys are selling?

Welcome roseyrobin, you'll like it here, we're mad as a box of frogs :D.
No ins outs or UU's from me. I will be having a lovely hot bath later before work. DS has got Beavers tonight so I will have to come hurtling home and get ready. I might just make DH take him though because he has to pick him up and he's annoyed me today. It'll keep him out of my hair for a bit and he can take DD for a walk along the beach while they wait.

OH just confirmed the time off with his boss...looks like Im off to N. Africa (to be honest - tunisa) but Ive only ever been abroad twice, both of which to Europe haha

Just text my mum to let her know and I got the usual lecture off her telling me how unsafe it is there...also telling me how I MUST get a new phone before I go because she reckons Im going to get arrested with the phone I have (I have a bit of tape holding the back on as its broken)
heck she once told me I shouldnt go to Portugal because of the Maddie Mcann thing because of 'peodophiles' - I was 18 at the time and hardly of the opinion a peodophile would be interested in me! Not that we ended up going there in the end much to my mothers relief...

    Parents!

To be honest the FCO advice to Tunisa is to avoid the Libyan border and the capital of Tunis but the tourist resorts are meant to be fine, to be honest we're taking it because it is so ridiculously cheap, £280p/p 7 nights 4* all inclusive - the hotels look impressive.

Now to find suitable toiletries to take with me....

    Woo well done Mingle!

Holiday planning sounds exciting Charlie - as you say the guidelines are there for a reason so if you follow them, and keep an ear on the news while you're there you should be fine.

Why not leave your phone at home charlie? You're on holiday after all! If there was to be any sort of emergency, family would be able to contact you through the hotel. Not so convenient but ensures that they will only contact you if there is a problem.
Take all of your little sizes, I think they have to be see through though but I haven't flown for nearly 7 years (only been on plane holidays 3 times!).
Just watching the Madeline story on the news. That poor family. They'll never recover from this, how could you?
There was someone on the news late last evening and he was saying that he and his wife had been sitting downstairs in the bar when their small child came crying down the stairs. I was surprised how many people do leave their children in a room alone. One of the reasons that I am so reluctant to go on a hotel holiday with DH and the kids. That and the fact that I don't want to have 4 of us crammed in 1 room!
