Thanks guys! I already feel welcome. Although my 'collection' is not nearly as big as some of yours! Don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing...
About the holiday, to put your mum's mind at rest you should give her a copy of your holiday insurance, as well as copies of your passports and the address of where you're staying. I think it would be best for you to take a phone with you, or your mum might worry sick! Haha. Definately beyond my 21 years, me :rotfl:0 -
Why not leave your phone at home charlie? You're on holiday after all! If there was to be any sort of emergency, family would be able to contact you through the hotel. Not so convenient but ensures that they will only contact you if there is a problem.
Take all of your little sizes, I think they have to be see through though but I haven't flown for nearly 7 years (only been on plane holidays 3 times!).
Just watching the Madeline story on the news. That poor family. They'll never recover from this, how could you?
There was someone on the news late last evening and he was saying that he and his wife had been sitting downstairs in the bar when their small child came crying down the stairs. I was surprised how many people do leave their children in a room alone. One of the reasons that I am so reluctant to go on a hotel holiday with DH and the kids. That and the fact that I don't want to have 4 of us crammed in 1 room!
My mother just worries to much - to be honest I would get a new phone if I could afford it but I can't.
The frustrating this is the contract expires next month and its currently in thier name, they said that it would be thier contribution whilst I was at uni but now they are insistent of renewing it further because I can't afford it, but the fact of the matter is they can't afford it either which I know damn well. My mums been made redundant, thier living off their insurance to cover the mortgage payments as it is so I hardly see how taking out a phone contract on my behalf is a good idea. I don't want to be partly responsible when they end up losing thier home because they can't afford to keep it (the amount of crap they've bought since my mum was made redundant is a joke - but who am I to judge) ....:( I know they are trying to be nice but then they get so angry with me when I tell them I don't want them to waste their money on me.
I see nothing wrong with the phone Ive got at the present, Ive had it 3 years as it is, infact I went back to this one after my upgrade phone smashed after I dropped it onto carpet! This one has been through so much but its still going, even if the battery is taped in and it needs charging every 20hours...
**rant over**
Ive only ever been on plane holidays twice, once to Majorca with OH and the other was to spend a few FREEZING (-10:eek:) days in Amsterdam...
Think I might get together all my freebie shampoos sachets, think I should probably have 5 - knew there was a benefit to saving them all. There again if its anywhere near as hot in Tunisa as it was in Majorca I ended up showering 2/3 times a day. I think I only have to put things into clear bags if it's in handluggage if I remember correctly which means I can just wack everything in the suitcase and not worry about it....hope I wont get searched next timesomething 'suspicious' came up on the xray machine - it was an old fashioned travel adaptor which I put in my shoe in my suitcase so I didnt loose it but apparently it looked really bad so I got my whole suitcase searched

CAN I JOIN IN PLEASE?
I will post my stash list tonight, but, as you will see when I do post it my addiction is QVC. Although, in fairness I have not bought so much in the last 6 months as they no longer sell Molton Brown, the L'Occitane TSV's rarely include the Shea Butter Body lotion (my HG Body Lotion) and the Elemis TSV's always include ProCollagen Marine Cream which is too rich for my skin.
My stash is still huge though - think I must have enough shower gel to wash the whole of Britain, lol!!
This thread is great for motivating people like myself who can't resist a beauty deal! Keep up the good work everyone.
I'm sitting here trying to think of what I have at home that's nearly finidshed so that I can post my first UU, LOL!:D

Charlie, that sucks about your parents' financial situation. have you ever looked into getting a Sim-only contract if you are happy with the phone you have? They're much cheaper and you can get loads of minutes and texts for a month-to-month rolling contract of £15. You should really look into it0

Nice price - you'll have a blast I betAs for the phone: If your contract is up next month and your parents insist on renewing it you'll get a free upgrade
I'm on a £10 a month tariff with O2 which includes free O2 - O2 calls, 50 minutes and unlimited texts - which is enough for me. I know 3 do something similar that includes web access.
NO BODY SCRUBS. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!
:T:T:T:T
I've updated the first post to include LHJ - does it sound OK?LHJ - Long Haul Job - for those products - love 'em or hate 'em - that never seem to end no matter how often you use them
I've just made a right mess of myselfI had a bagel with chocolate spread (I know - ick
) and the spread melted and went everywhere - all over my top, all over my face
I look like a happy 6 year-old :rotfl::rotfl:
Today I give up smoking - once this packet has gone! TBH it's not 'cos I want to at the moment but because I can't afford toBut I will apologise in advance in case I get snippy or sarcastic over the next few days
No UU's or Splutterer's ... and definately no IN's ..... on the horizon. I've got to top up my travel cleanser/toner later but even then I'll still be no-where near the end of anything. It was bound to happen as I've had a fair run of UU's recently
Hugs to all0 -
That really is a tricky situation Charlie - hopefully post-holiday there will be something in the work line for you so that you can pay them back - and even help them, hopefully.
Hello Roseyrobin, I love reading stash lists....
UU The Boots Lavender Garden Collection hand cream from the raffle prize set. Being used as foot cream
WIBA? No. It had that pilling effect on my skin at the end, not pleasant. It isn't made any more anyway.
I have an early birthday gift in of Aldi Lacura Moisturiser with self - tanner. Tried it already and it is lovely - a really pleasant fruity scent and a very generously sized tube, the cream goes in beautifully. Too early to judge about the tanning effects.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

I hardly use my phone as it is, when I first got it 3years ago, was because I spent a fortune phoning OH because we lived so far apart, now we live together I have no need for it really. At the moment I have 500mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet - in reality I use about 5 mins, 20 texts and 0.1MB of intenet :rotfl: Just seems silly paying for something I don't use anyway...
I think my best bet is to get my parents to cancel mine just get a bog standard PAYG sim, put £10 on it and that should last me aaaaaages
Back on holiday- does anyone know actually if Tunisa is in Africa? I always thought it was but I just ran a travel insurance quote and it keeps coming up as it is covered by European cover? So confused! But have to say being MSE Ive looked around and there seems to be NO point in paying £48 for TC insurance if I can get it elsewhere for £11MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

Yeah you're probably right then, there's no point in getting something that you're not going to use. That's this board's mantra anyhow! Tunisia is probably covered as Europe, I know that when I went to Egypt I got insurance that was for Europe, got it from moneysupermarket.com. I wasn't sure either, but rang up and they said that yes, even though Egypt was in Africa it was covered under Europe. No idea why but I wasn't going to argue!0

Thats ok then - it seems to say Tunisa is covered on the policies, this too is with MoneySupermarket. The wierd thing is that has quotes from £7 odd for both of us, but the other comparison sites recommended on MSE come up cheapest at £12 and £26seems silly. Think the best one is Virgin through moneysupermarket - at least its a company Ive heard off and it seems to have reasonable cover and for £9.30 for us both that sure as hell puts TC to shame....
Having just been through my entire stash I definetly have enough shampoo in miniatures and samples to last a week and the added benefit as the majority are sachets they will take up hardly any room :j Dug out a little travel set of Oil of Aloe which has all kinds of bits in it, including face wipes so that should be handy...Might have many UUs hahaMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11
