Hello All
vicster - so sorry for your loss
sawan & asset - I don't like the flake away because it just hangs around in the bath and doesn't dissolve - so I end up with a nasty oily bath and not really feeling clean
charlie - I second what lemon tree says - only your OH will be able to get the details - I couldn't get any of OH's if he lost them
Kaz - pleased you are both feeling better - I get really sick if it's too hot - It turns my insides to mush and I end up having to stay close to a bathroom (TMI?) - and that's what I think is too hot - for anyone else it's nice picnic weather. I have a fan which is in the bedroom for the really bad days
Alanis - I have CFS tooA HUGE well done to you for being able to get on with stuff - I'm finding it hard at the moment. I have an appt with a new specialist on Weds so am hoping he will help with the tiredness and pain in some way. I can't take most of the prescribed meds because they trigger my bipolar *rolls-eyes-icon-needed*
vivh - how awful about your dog  You may not be able to get anything from the owner - and the police probably won't do much - but please call them and log it as it may help them take it seriously if it happens to someone else - or you might find that someone else has already logged and it might be your complaint that makes them take some action. Poor little man - give him lots of tail-wagging licks from my two. I had to give them a big hug when I read your post
OH has been in a DIY mood today - went out and bought a garden fork and has dugover the front bit and sowed some wild flowers, strimmed and trimmed some bushes and branches and is now fixing the dinig room door (after 15 months :rotfl:) he also scrubbed out the kitchen and made tea. We should go to his parents more often if it makes him do all that :rotfl::rotfl:
Tired now - so back to lie on the sofa and stare at the telly0 -
I'm back after spending £100 at Body Shop, £35 at Virgin Vie and picking up some of the discontinued Morrisons bargains:o:rotfl:

Figured that was probably the case - apart from getting him to phone which he won't do, I don't really know what the option is....
Pretty sure the local branch is closed at weekends so its not like I can drag him down there when we are in town. So frustrating - don't really want to be leaving it another year just to recieve a statement again with the account details. Wish he was more organised
The such annoying thing is I know at one point the letter was on my bed side cabinet but damned if I can find it now, I have a feeling it may have been thrown out when we did a big clear out a while back.
Good news is his mum found him a cheaper quote for his car insurance - actually pretty shocking as his renewal came through at over £1,000  but he's switched insurers and it came up at less than £500 so at least thats all sorted out now. One thing less for me to have to sort for himJeez I don't know where he would be without us  I realised its getting on for mid-may now, honestly don't know where the time has gone...its our 3yr anniversary soon, crazy

Oh wow! That must be pretty hard to deal with both bipolar and CFS!! I cant even imagine that!
I'm just recently "diagnosed" with CFS, though been having problems with it most of my life. I dont get any pain, but I do get so tired and sleep for 14-16 hours at a time on really bad days =[ and as a result my concentration slips quite badly during lectures etc. Currently I'm attempting to control it with diet and exercise, and finally felt like I'd gained abit of ground on it (around 7hrs sleep), but its starting to slip again recently (back to 9 hrs) =[. Doctors dont want anything to do with me so I'm pretty much on my own with it.
Do you have any coping strategies you could share?

Big hugs to everyone who needs them, sounds like there is something in the air causing problems today.....
VIVH - you should report the dog to the police. Imagine that had been your child instead of your dog - although of course our pets are like babies to many of us. As someone else said, he may have 'previous incidents'.
I had a trip to the Essex wildlife rescue today with a frog pulled from the torturing paws of the neighbours cat. They are fabulous up there with the animals.
Car bootie was rubbish. Hoorah, only spent £3 and NONE of that was toiletries. There are a couple of stall selling No 7 make up etc - where do they get it from???
Waiting to hear about laundry gloop too please!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -

Irresponsible dog owners make me so angry. Condoning his animal attacking yours, as well. I admire you for not hitting him, Viv.
I had a similar experience when my OE sheepdog female dog was only a few days out of surgery. The owner called his GSD off when he realised it was a female he was allowing his dog to attack and hit seven bells out of it 'for attacking a female Presumably attacking a dog would have been ok....
And Vicster, thank you for sharing your dear late friend with us - it's so hard to say goodbye but great memories for you to hold close. Wishing you strength for her service.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Thanks for all the kind thoughts, you're all lovely! Mcculloch, beautiful sentiments, thank you! I founds some notes that she wrote to me today, it was really sad but made me chuckle. I'm wearing the brightest possible dress I can find to the service as she threatened to come back and haunt me if I didn't!!!
So sorry to hear about your dog vivSome dog owners are just so irresponsible!

Hey all
Been MIA for a bit as I've had a friend stay for 10 days.
2 UU's today:
1 x Loreal Sublime Mousse Conditioner (what came with the hair dye) - lovely conditioner and you get lots in the bottle to use again.
1 x Montagne Jeunnesse Hot Face Mask - WIBA? nope, you have to heat it up in hot water rather than it heats up on you. Only put it on as need to use my stash up and had nothing else to do!
Think I may have another UU but not 100% that the bottle is emtpy yet. It's Tresemme Colour Thrive Brunette Shampoo, it's annoying cos the lids don't come off so there may still be a bit left. It'll go in the recycle bag tomorrow if I can't get any more. WIBA? Yes, love the shampoo, got it on BOGOF in New Year and only now finished it, and I wash hair daily! I've still got 2 more bottles though to use up.
Also have an unitentional IN. My friend left a bar of Dove soap here. I don't really use soap (I use liquid soap for hands) so may take it into work to UU.

May I join you please? For the last few years I have had an addiction to buying toiletries from charity shops and car boot sales. Without doubt, I have saved an absolute fortune and have had the very best of soaps, lotions and bath goodies. However I seem to have got carried away with the regularity of my purchases. I hate to list the number of cream moisturisers, etc. I have and even basic items like shampoo have been over-purchased due to sheer enthusiasm. Alternative hand washes are becoming an embarrassment.
I have started keeping a felt tip pen in the bathroom and every time I open a new item I note the date. That, together with the rather obsessional shopping lists I keep in a notebook, should guide me to how much of anything I actually use, how long it lasts, etc. I suspect everything lasts much longer than you think but if you are confronted by a top-quality toiletry set, how can you refuse at car boot prices? I have oodles of soap, bath items (have bath, rarely use it - always shower), every eventuality for feet is covered, etc. but like most people on this thread it is really difficult to get to the end of it all. Is it that WE DON'T DESERVE IT if we don't buy all these goodies? Have we become slaves to the marketing men?Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
