I made laundry gloop earlier on today. It's quite exciting really and very cheap to do. If it works well, I'll definately switch to doing this long term. It's much much cheaper than buying washing liquid. I may also try the washing powder as people say there's less faff than the gloop. I need to ask around the family to get another 2L bottle to put the gloop into though because I had to make a half quantity as I only have a 2L bottle. Unfortunately, I then went and put double the amount of soda crystals in it that I needed (brain not functioning correctly ). This may be a way to UU unloved soap bars but it would be more expensive then. They advocate use of the cheap cheap soaps (I think I paid 77p for 4 bars but never counted them as an in as they were bought to make the gloop).

Pleased your DD is feeling better. Have you a link for the laundry gloop info -might give it a try. Seems very:money:

I looked on the Net for laundry gloop recipes but they seemed to be for HUGE quantities. Can you let us know, Kaz? Searching on here didn't bring up what I wanted.

Wow!! Spent the last hour catching up on about 5 pages! =s (I'm procrastinating from doing my dissertation AND placement-reading). I feel so run-down! I've had a cold for the last 2 weeks and before that I had that horrific back problem which seems to have midly resolved. I think with my report hand in being the day before placement, then being on placement where my educator wont let me see a patient on my own (despite me qualifying in about 4 weeks!), and while I'm on placement having to write my dissertation as its due 3 days after placement AND has to be bound before then, I'm pretty much burnt out. I've had a massive breakout of acne too and just generally feel like crap =[ and having CFS doesnt help with wanting to sleep all the time =[

Any ideas that could help? Im getting mighty tired of my moods flipping from enphatically high to the point where yesterday I went out and spent £50 (that I dont have and brought me to my overdraft limit!) on clothes :eek: (but no toiletries thank god), to be so down today that I struggled to get out of bed at midday =s and even then I just veg-ed out infront of the TV for afew hours! I am betting The Partner is probably getting fed up of it too, needless to say, we have hit a rough patch =[

Sorry to hear about your friend thevicster.

Having a horrible afternoon myself, my beautiful dog has been attacked by a weimeraner this aft and had his ear ripped apart. I went completerly ballistic (have a legendary temper) the owner didn't make an attempt to get his dog off and then behaved like a cocky t**t, his dog ran over to ours when he was playing with his ball, it was completely unprovoked. Kids were devastated and I can't stop crying, dog is at the vets now with DH so hopefully they will be able to patch his ear up.

Massive hugs to anyone else who needs it today :grouphug:

Hugs to you too vivh, we had a similar experience with an Akita, the owers let it just run around loose in the front garden, with no fences or hedges to section it off from the road, so if when I walked past with my dog it came charging at Toby (my dog) teeth bared and everything. Luckily on this experience the owner was slightly more diligent and came running after it before it got to Toby. We didnt walk that way anymore as they didnt stop it running loose, but they moved soon after so hopefully they went somewhere in the sticks that they can let their dog roam free without it attacking others

People are unbelievable aren't they, these dogs can kill and do. DH had phoned, Alfie is having to stay and have general anaesthetic, might be able to pick him up tonight if not in the morning. Costing £300 ish, he is insured but we have £60 excess, not happy, the other owner should be paying the lot. Also he will probably have a wonky ear, he is only 2 and is a really gorgeous pedigree, I am furious.:mad:

Oh my!!! What breed? I would be too! God! Can you not have a word with the police? I know they probably wont do much, but I dunno, maybe they could do something under the dangerous dogs act?
I would also go to this guy, give him a piece of my mind, then the bill for £60 if I was in a good mood. If not, all of the above + a law suit for loss of earnings if you show him and emotional distress.

People are ridiculous these days, they shouldnt be allowed dogs unless they're responsible! Toby is the friendliest dog you'll ever meet, he may lick you to death though, but if he goes near another dog I am always right beside him just incase one of them kicks off as you cant predict things like that. I mean, I dont suppose he would because he's just not like that, but I am always there just incase!

Sorry to hear about your friend TheVicster and about your dog Vivh.

I am still feeling a bit rough today but managed to get out for a bit. I popped into home bargains to pick up some breakfast bars and seen Charles Worthington Results Hair Blow Dry Spray for £1.99 so I decided to give it a try.

I have another UU to report - my HG shampoo Louise Galvin is finished. I have looked out the Big Hair one to try it.

Forgot to put cash into my pot for my earlier UU so I need to find £6 to put into it tonight.

Still think we will go to the cinema tonight but there isn't much on that I like the look of.
