It didn't keep my hair straight for half a day nevermind 3 days:eek:
I might try it again and use a bit more to see if it's any better:j0 -
So sorry to hear about your poor doggie. Sorry to hear about your friend the vicster too.
The link to the laundry gloop provided earlier is the recipe I used but I halved the quantities. I also added 125ml of borax and a squirt of stardrops. It made 2 Litres of the gloop which fitted in my old laundry liquid bottle. It has set quite firm though so nex time I make it, I may make 1/4 quantities with double the water (IYKWIM?).
Thanks for this, I just binned an elderly water - damaged pack of borax the other week, must hunt it down again. Doubt if my son will use the gloop, but I'll give it a go!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Just had Dove post this on my fb page. Obviously haven't met us lot then :rotfl:

Morning all!
thanks for all the kind wishes for my dog, i haven't reported it to the police and can't really do anything about the owner as the park wasn't a local one. I would have given my details had I been him but he was a prat. Alfie spent the night at the vets and they have just phoned this morning to say he can come home (with a cone on his head).
Alanis - he is a beautiful, bouncy black labrador, he hasn't one ounce of malice in him and thinks everyone is his friend, maybe he will be more cautious after yesterday.
Your doggy sounds gorgeous Vivh. I'm glad he's coming home soon. I bet he'll be very happy to see you. Something happening to my grumpy old cat is one of my recurrent nightmares so I really feel for you. Somehow it's even worse because your boy is such a lovely dog, it seems even more unfair. I bet he gets over it before you do though hon. :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls
My daughter walks a chocolate lab after school, and he is a beautiful boy, with such expressive eyes. He could pretty much get me to do anything if he looked at me the right way! (Story of my life!:D)
No UUs today, but I do have a few almost there. One of which is a blusher. I'm not sure I've ever ever EVER finished a blusher before.
Hope you're all having a lovely day. :happyhearNot everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -

Pooch is home, and don't we know it, everytime he moves he bashes his cone into something. He is very tired but apart from that OK in himself. His ear is shaved and a bit weird looking but I think it should heal with just a bit of a kink.
Alfie gets around me everytime with his lovely eyes, all wounded and doleful looking, he's our third labrador and we wouldn't have any other breed now, so adorable if just a teeny bit mad.The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
I'm sure you're very strong, to be able to cope with CFS and bipolar and still live life etc!
Ah - away with you - you'll make me cry
I have it easy compared to you, I just have determination,, I've wanted to be a vetinary physiotherapist since I was 8/9 years old. Soon to have my human physio degree, then can apply for the animal one.
Single-mindedness, is the only thing keeping me going sometimes
Good luck with your studies - you've obviously got the compassion to work with people or animals - and you can use your physio knowledge on your own tired bonesLOL!! I saw that advertised! It said like "we've saved 101% on our shopping" it struck me as being unfeasable... if you've saved 101% surely you're being PAID 1% to do it??
One woman did get paid - in a way - her supermarket gives vouchers off your next shop depending on what you spent and the voucher was more than the cash she'd paid out :T Sort of like an advantage card thing I guessBTW what is CFS??EssexHebridean wrote: »Viv CFS is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I think you will find.
It is yes - used to be known as ME - but that got allsorts of bad press (yuppie flu!) so it's sort of unofficially been changed to CFSI did PY(T)NS last night with a nice metallicy satsuma colour. Then I forgot/ thought it would have set and put my slippers back on. So when I went to bed, I had fluffy big toes.

viv - glad to hear Alfie is back and well - try not to laugh at him too much with the collar onLab's are beautiful creatures - my MIL/FIL have 5 - and one won Best of Breed this year at Crufts - so we are a little biased in our family
One Freebie IN for me - Sachets of Herbal Essence Shampoo/Conditoner - I much prefer the trial size bottles to sachets as they get slippy and I drop themmay decant into small pots before I use them
Still - shouldn't complain about a freebie
No UU's and my Night Cream is still hanging on
It's national doughnut week this week - I maybe persuaded to take a visit to krispy kreme sometime - I shouldn't ..... but I probably will:rotfl:
