Happy Birthday Moorlandbanks
Been out shopping all day today. Went to Asda for a few bits and saw they had beer and some spirits on special so stocked up on all the stuff the business gives out each year. Tinned chocs were on special too so now have all the chocolates we need for Xmas.
Also went to Makro to stock up on essentials, have enough toilet roll, kitchen roll, cat food and diswasher tablets to last well into the new year.
Cooked chicken, saus, j pot and salad for dinner then helped DD with her RE homework which was to make a Christmas decoration and the house is now covered inn glitter.
Only managed 1 load of washing today and no ironing so will try and fit some in tomorrow although have loads of office work.
Gonna go now - 15 minutes more surfing then watch telly in bed (normally last about 10 minutes them am out for the count).0 -

AussieLass wrote:Kethry That's so good with 250g mince. Maybe you should start a thread on it so lots more can follow suit and be of help. I don't think rubber mince has been covered.
I can already hear Squeaky & Pink searching in the distance.
to be honest, i think its too similar to the mince threads we've already had: about all i did was to chuck in LOTS of veg (i used 3 whole peppers, a box of mushrooms, 3 onions, 250g mince and about 4 oz dried weight of green lentils as the base which was then split), and use my usual mince bulkout trick, the green lentils, and then add things like oxo cubes or oyster sauce to oomph the meatytaste factor.
i have to say though, rubber mince: doesn't sound very appetising does it?! LOL...

Thank goodness for my ever loving husband. He sat down with the children yesterday while I stayed in bed and they made cards for me. The children had a box of chocs hidden behind the sofa to give to me today (hubby leaves REALLY early so he gave me his present yesterday.) Hubby had a necklace made for me that matches a bracelet I already had. Bless him. Some years he's useless - a paper shredder one year! - and other years he makes such an effort.
I'll get loads of calls tomorrow - I do every year. They all forget because they're so wrapped up in Christmas. Even my own mother said she'd forgotten to call because she's been out Christmas shopping all day!!
Feeling sorry for myself now! snif!An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
Well, neither does rubber chicken really...:)
Had a productive day (not as good as you though debtfreehopeful)
Had a shower, changed the bed, went shopping, did my Tesco shop, went to the library book sale, made dinner (25p stir fry from Morrisons!) and sorted out my kitchen storecupboard.
Have decided we are going to do the tree on Friday, as OH has the day off, so must start getting the house in order!
UGH, have just checked my receipt from Somerfield and the've overcharged me - cheese should have been £3.19 BOGOF, and they've charged £3.99 and not BOGOF. So I'll have to go back tomorrow and get that fixed. Anyone know what their policy is on these things? We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0
