Evening all, not finished reading the thread yet but will do soon, so I hope you've all had a lovely weekend. Have been working myself but am off now for a week!:j :j :j

DS1 started his first ever job today! and he liked it! :j had a text at lunchtime saying " I love it here" I'm so relieved!:D he has his own desk and a brand new computer so he's very happy. Came home starving and is just having his tea.

Just oof for mine now but I'll be back later

    Hugs to all xx

  • It's my birthday and everyone seems to have forgotten. One of my sisters remembered, but one forgot. Not a single one of my firends has called. My parents only phoned after my sister reminded them!!!
Thank goodness for my ever loving husband. He sat down with the children yesterday while I stayed in bed and they made cards for me. The children had a box of chocs hidden behind the sofa to give to me today (hubby leaves REALLY early so he gave me his present yesterday.) Hubby had a necklace made for me that matches a bracelet I already had. Bless him. Some years he's useless - a paper shredder one year! - and other years he makes such an effort.
I'll get loads of calls tomorrow - I do every year. They all forget because they're so wrapped up in Christmas. Even my own mother said she'd forgotten to call because she's been out Christmas shopping all day!!
Feeling sorry for myself now! snif!

    Hi morlandbanks,

I'm sorry that no one remembered your birthday today. <<<Hugs>>> At least your husband and children made the effort. :)

    Happy Birthday!

My brother and my aunt forgot my birthday the other day:rolleyes: makes you feel like forgetting theirs doesn't it ?
  • aw, thanks for the cakes. xx

Yes, it does make me want to forget thiers actually - and it the spirit of Christmas, I've just cancelled the order for my sisters birthday present! Her birthday is in a month. This is the 2nd year she's not bothered - and we went out for dinner yesterday and everyone sang happy birthday to me - so she can't have forgotten even if she tried! And she didn't bother sending cards or anything for my children this year, even though I always get hers presents and drive them the 50 minute journey over there to give them to them! SO I've decided not to bother with her anymore. Given a taste of her own medicine it might make her realise how bad someone feels when you cant even be bothered to pick up the phone.

I go to sleep and what happens. Most of you have gone to the Wanty Salon and had an overhaul. :D They all look fab. It's going to be so dull when we go back to normal. OS rang up, he got a bad tooth ache last night, didn't get much sleep & it's still there so not coming to help today. DH has already left to start work but will be back around 8.30am to make phone calls so my visit to the shops might not happen. I expect I'll stay back and be the off sider. :p

Kethry That's so good with 250g mince. Maybe you should start a thread on it so lots more can follow suit and be of help. I don't think rubber mince has been covered. :DI can already hear Squeaky & Pink searching in the distance. ;)

Morelandbanks Happy Birthday. Hope I"m on time. Both my sons forgot mine this year. As mine is first off the rank in January, I had plenty of time to plot my revenge. :D Which I did.

To everyone else hope you get a nice sleep. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
