Same here - I asked why the credir card company had said the transaction was approved and they replied that the money had not been taken.
Tried to order on the phone but still declined and with no reason given.

Have had very mixed messages about my order. My credit card was billed yesterday after being told this was out of stock and being advised to cancel the order.
The website is still showing instock so phoned them again. Was told by customer service that this phone is definately now in stock, they had a problem over the weekend when a lot of orders weren't put through correctly and everybody was sent out-of-stock emails.
I have just now re-ordered with a member of staff who just checked the real-time stock level, phone will be with me within 3 working days and delivered by DHL.
My only setback is my 1st initial payment will not be re-imbursed back to my credit card for up to 14 days, so at present I have had to pay for 2 phones! All my savings are going on the family holiday!
Off to Majorca again this year ;-)0 -

I had a declined order online yesterday, then a declined order over the telephone, before a successful order was placed.
When I called them to chase up the fact that my bank could see the two declined transactions, one set of people said that's a problem for the online team, whereas the online team said it wasn't!
I haven't had any confirmation e-mail yet either.
The no. for PAYG queries is 0870 5678678. I ordered mine yesterday around 11.30am and haven't recevied an email yet. I called this morning and was told that they're currently out of stock but I will get the phone and vouchers in the next 14 days. Lots of conflicting info from 02 then. Don't really mind too much about the delay as long as I get the vouchers!!0 -

I had a very similar response, I have however heard the vouchers expire at the end of december !Debt Free Marathon: Start 01/06/09 £16714 - Current Position £14514 - Finish Line Xmas 20100 -
I called yesterday after getting the 'out of stock' email. First of all I asked whether this phone was in stock, they said yes, I then asked why my order had been cancelled due to no stock. She said 'ah this is correct as you've ordered online, the online sales team hold different stock as it's a different part of the company'. She gave me the number for the 'online sales' team (0870 225 7879) who confirmed that this phone is in stock despite my order having been cancelled. She passed me to someone else who couldn't explain the out of stock emails, and he arranged for a phone to be sent. O2 sound like a really professional company! Though I have to say, everyone on the phone sound really polite, but the automated menus drove me insane.Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.0

Hi guys, received my phone at 13:30, can round up a few things that have already been said previously if anyone's interested:
My order was placed online Sunday evening at 23:30, I'm already an O2 pay monthly customer, so don't know if this may have sped things up regarding credit checks etc
I received NO emails at ANY point, although when I checked my order via the website it did show as 'with courier'
The vouchers come in the box with the phone
Although the vouchers have printed on them 'only one voucher per customer', when you text the code off (standard text rates) the message that comes back tells you to disregard the instruction on the paper voucher and gives the web address with the correct instructions (the vouchers were obviously used as part of a different promotion at some point), once you register them with HMV they all add up nicely and can be used a part or full payment towards your Xboxes etc.
The expiry on the vouchers is 31/05/07.
I didn't ring to enquire at any point, and wasn't hopeful to be honest, but was after a phone for mother for Christmas so this is a fantastic bonus, many many thanks to the OP0 -
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why do they have to do a credit check on a Pay as You Go phone?
thanks
