    Curiouser and curiouser.

I ordered yesterday morning, my order was cancelled yesterday afternoon, then it was supposedly reinstated when I phoned today.

I've got home from work to find a card from DHL, who tried to deliver a parcel to me at 11 this morning. I can't imagine that it would be anything but the phone!

Better get DH to check if I've been charged twice, and if I can expect another one to turn up shortly!

No probs if it does, I suppose. I'm sure it will ebay very nicely.

PS: Nominated for post of the month, if you got your phone it makes sense!

ahhh hell I hope that doesn't happen - I tried 4 times.... won't try again then. Gutting as my son wants a phone for christmas and the £75 of vouchers would have pretty much covered all the relatives who only ever want cds and dvds!

I got the L6 delivered today by DHL but no HMV vouchers inside. The order confirmation sheet in box says HMV voucher pack "To Follow Shortly".

Anyone else in the same boat?

Yep. I got the vouchers in the post. I got them an hour or two before I actually got the phone!

if you want to complain about o2 declining your orders.
email peter.erskine@o2.com with all details (one of the o2 head customer relations people)

    Heres what i wrote off

"I tried ordering two mobile phones a couple of days ago from the o2 website; the motorola L6 £49.99 and L7 £119.99 both with £75 HMV vouchers with each phone, over the o2 website and both got declined orders, I called o2 sales the next day and spent 30mins on the phone because the ordering system was very slow, and at the end of it, o2 declined my order !!

I asked to speak to the supervisor at the time, and she said that I'm not allowed to order more than 6 mobile phones inside a 4 year period, I find this amazing !! its not even a contract phone I want to buy, but a pay as you go mobile !! The supervisor told me to contact o2 technical via the website, so I did this; and guess what I got a reply back stating I have to call the same telephone which I originally called !! - total lack of sense.

At this point I've used my bank card 3-4 times via the o2 website and once over the phone, and now my bank account is showing around £400 missing due to o2 trying to take money which they shouldn't be ! as my ordered was declined in the first place !

Also I tried ordering via my credit cards and my credit card company even contacted me because they suspected fraud, as i tried a few times. Which still didn't work

    1. I want any monies returned back to my bank and credit cards accounts now.
    2. Why and What is the problem for me ordering a pay as you go phone ?
    3. Why has any money been or tried to been taken from my account if I have ordered nothing.
    4. What is the point having mobile phones on your website if people can't purchase them ?

There is nothing wrong with my credit or bank cards as I use them all the time online with other retailers.

I hope you inform your managers of this mess - I find it amazing that you won't sell me the phone as advertised on your website.

And I'm not the only person this has happened too, I could provide hundreds who are having the same problem, this matter needs to be addressed."

It really does suck that O2 are withholding funds even when they are declining orders:( . I have been reading up on this thread for the last couple of days and thought I would try my luck anyway just in case the previous problems reported by other users had now been fixed.

So, I placed an online order about 5 minutes ago and used my debit card to pay. I am not a pre-existing O2 customer so had to create a new user ID etc as well. But to cut a long story short, my order was accepted and I have been sent email confirmation as well :j . Fingers crossed there aren't any cancellations! So hopefully if anyone out there still wants to purchase the phone, I know ordering online for me just now was ok, so maybe try your luck and hopefully everything will go through ok for you too.
  • Had the cancelled email yesterday. Just rang on the 0800 number. Phones were picked up today at 4.oopm, tracking number given, vouchers in the box. Should all be so then all will be well.

    bobsa1,

just select one u like the sound of.
its just the sim that will be sent along with the phone.
you dont have to use the sim at all.

    hope that helps
  • Do you have to use the phone/sim to activate the hmv voucher?
