    Afternoon all

Sorry not had time to read thread yet so (((hugs))) to all

Very busy day at work. It was my work kids last day :( they spent all morning practising their presentation and setting up the room, then did their presentation infront of 20 guests (friends/family/colleague and the mayor!). They were amazing :j, so so proud of them. 2 of their mums came up to me after to say that their sons had changed into different people since doing the course :A, those 2 boys are my favourites so was lovely to hear that!

Despite it being a stressful and hectic day, this didn't set off my vertigo :j which is fab cos I thought it would. I can honestly say this is first day THIS year that I feel well :). My work kids got me a lovely thank you card, and a big Easter egg as a present.....which kinda killed my surprise gift of an Easter egg to them! :rotfl:But they were all grateful, happy and hugged me goodbye (which for teenage boys is quite brave!!).

I was dressed up smart for my presentation - grey trousers, black top and heels. When I walked to car park to get minibus I noticed this woman watch me for ages, and when I was reversing out of space and leaving car park etc <insert confused smiley>, she walked past me when I was in queue to leave car park, and said 'sorry for staring but I've never seen anyone so glamourous drive a minibus'!!! :rotfl:. Ha! I'm not normally the most glam person on earth! Made me chuckle.

My friend is on her way her :D going to pick her up in hour or so, we are going to get a chinese and have bottle of wine and quiet night tonight as we have busy weekend.

I have almost everything ready for Royal Wedding brunch tomorrow, just need to finish trifle off and put up bunting. I prob won't get on here tomorrow so hope you all enjoy!!

Have a fab long weekend all

Some sad news - Cameron, one of the Westies due to stay with me in late May, passed away last week.:( Little chap was diabetic, and only had one eye, but he still loved life.

Sorry to hear about Cameron. We've got a local black lab who has such bad arthritis that he can barely walk, but he's so happy about life. Everyone in the village looks out for him, and although his 'pets' have had it suggested that they put him down, he is so cheerful and happy that they won't.

Wish you were close to me LW just had to book Oz into kennels for my big dinner weekend. Ballgown, 5 days clothes plus dog really doesn't work for Glasgow to SE London via underground.

Not men's dogs? :rotfl: He should come and meet the little beast that lives across from me then, or the one which lives around the corner, ferocious little !!!!!!s, my big tough Staffie is terrified of them (mind you she is scared of everything so that doesn't paint an entirely accurate picture) they are terriers, after all; they just look cute!

Flutterby - well done you must be so proud :D

Well it hasn't been DD's afternoon. Whilst at school she poo-ed her knickers (it's potty training week :)) so go all upset and had to go into nursery to use their toilets to get cleaned up. She the measured her length on the path on the way home and is now sporting two lovely plasters on both knees :(

Something with sauage for tea........can't think what to do with it at the mo.
Fancy a bacardi and coke......is it too early? ;)

Yeah. When I stopped working and said I wanted a dog I was told it had to be a 'real' dog. (Nothing small) Think that Ozzie was a bit of a surprise to DH. You go to Dogs Trust expecting a traumatised mongrel and come away with an as far as we can tell pure-bred rough collie, impeccably behaved and just wanting love.

He's loving 7 people's attention in France. Haven't mentioned to him that we have to get him home next week :)

NPM Thanks for letting me know about dtd stopping! I wish I had started doing it weeks ago like the others on that thread. Ah well, at least I got one shop done and the kids ( and me) enjoyed the cornetto enigmas. they are very, very yummy! Apparently they are just a pound in Asda, so we may have them as a treat another time. I have hidden the rest behind the veg in the freezer so the kids don't find them. They would just look in the drawer where the ice cream usually lives.
I've taken to hiding all the treats now. The crisps hide in the bread bin, choc and sweets in a big tub beside the oats. Labelled 'lentils' of course. They definitely won't be looking there lol.

hugs for those who need esp NPM and Lou xx

So glad this short week is over, we have had to do our normal work condensed into the short week, going to be some people who don't get paid due to us pre emting their hours and going to be some very upset people on the phone next friday, can understand, but not my fault and don't like the abuse!

Am excited cos DSis,DBIL and DN are coming tomorrow, love having my family to stay as not many of them come here, in fact tis only Dis and family that come lol. DH and BIL are going off on Sunday to Truckfest at Peterborugh am doing them a picnic, have frozen ham but aparenty Tesco did not have any rolls to deliver for my order tonight so will have to get them in town on saturday!

OS tomorrow will be flitting about making sure its all neat and tidy before they come, we thought it would be late afternoon when the came but aparently they will be here at 10 :D I can do that :rotfl:
