Morning All

Chilly again but hopefully it will warm up later, we really need the garden to have a really good soaking so that the fruit and veggies have a good watering. My lawn is now as dead as a dodo but I can reseed when we get rain. But the fruit and veggies are money in the bank and I don't want to lose any.
Wooohooo got my free RHS seeds yesterday afternoon.:j
Don't know what has gone wrong with my post - we are not getting it until 4.30 pm which is really annoying.:mad:

Looking for a new telephone provider after BT has hiked its prices yet again - they don't deserve my custom bl**dy greedy big corporations get right up my nose.:mad::mad:

Main shop today got Sainsbugs, Aldi, Farmfoods and Wilko to do, but most of what I get today will last the month apart from fresh stuff of course.

Blooming windy here today, DD1 is having a street party at school all wearing red white and blue, DD2 is having a mock Royal Wedding at the church so needs to wear posh frock .

Mr T's delivering today, need to make p'nut butter biscuits today, Tea is not sure can't remember .

Morning ladies (and any gents ). Early morning for me today.Littleys next door were running up and down there landing screaming at the tops of their voices, until their dad boomed "go back to bed , you'll wake the bl oody neighbours up" lay there thinking dont worry mate they already have. This was at 5.30 am:eek::eek:. Never mind had to get up early , today is the day. The meeting at school that is.DD going in first as meeting not till after break she's not a happy bunny again. Hoping that school wont oppose the move if she is that unhappy.Mind you I have a really horrible feeling that she might be skipping on the whole truth IYKWIM. Will wait and see.
Sun not here so far this morning, hope its on its way.OS today will be washing the kitchen floor and changing the cupboards around in the kitchen
Dinner is undecided , would imagine it will just be something quick and easy,as have the distinct feeling I will be flagging come teatime due to my early morning wake up call;)
Hope Noah is on the mend soon NPM.:)

Good Morning all,bit overcast at the moment and windy as well.My dgs danny stuck his head around the door last night just in time for him to change two light bulbs and take down ,y spare room curtains for me bless him.I have very tall ceilings and only being 5'4" means everything has to be climbed up to.Danny being a tall lad obliged me beautifully which saved me wobbling around on a ladder.Not a good Idea for me as I don't bounce very well.
So the curtains went in the WM and I have just hung them out to dry.I am taking them to my friends on Saturday so she can use them as a template for running up my new ones.I bought the material whilst on holiday and June said she would machine them for me.She's a good pal to me and I am going to bake her a nice fruit cake today as I know its her and her OH's favourite.She is the sewer, and I am the baker so we swap skills.Just about to go and get the boys for the school run then I have to pop into the Drs to pick up my 'scrip for my regular medicines.Apart from that not a lot on the agenda today apart from some baking I will also make a pile of cakes for the DGS as they can strip a tin bare in 10 minutes flat so I will take some woith me whenI go tomorrow to DDs.Hope you all have a good day today

Morning everyone,
The weather here looks cloudy and cold again but it did at this time yesterday and then was beautiful in the afternoon, so the washing is going out on the line.
Finally got my potatoes planted yesterday, I know it is a bit late but hopefully I will get a decent crop. The garden is looking so much better now I have had some time off work to tidy it up.
I have got to take DD1 and DD2 to town today as they both seem to run out of underwear, I did check the sizes that they were wearing and DD2 was in size 8-9 even though she is 11, no wonder she was complaining that they were a bit tight!
This pm it is cooking for the royal wedding party that we are all going to tomorrow. The idea is that we all wear our wedding dresses but I put mine on and DD1 laughed so much that I think I may wear something else!
Hope Noah is feeling better.

It is a glorious day in sunny Glasgow today again

HH glad to hear your WM is going again. NPM hugs for you and Noah, hope he turns a corner today. BB enjoy your Royal wedding Did you not get an invite for tomorrow?

Went to the cinema to see Thor with the boys last night, got there and realised that in emptying my bag to fit in the juice and sweeties, I had left my purse at home, now that's going too MSE even for me! So I called OH and told him to leave work and come to the movies with us, it only cost £3 extra because we were doing Orange Wednesday and we had a lovely treat. The downside is that the boys didn't get to bed until 10.30 but they've just got up so they haven't missed too much sleep and are over the moon because they were just desperate to see it.

I have a wee cheeky day off work today and am not sure what job to tackle first, I really want to do some gardening but I have other priorities so I may do them this morning with the promise of an hour outside at 2 o'clock if I am a good girl.

OS I have put our feather pillows in the WM as the weather is so nice, and will possibly get the boys' done too. Need to meal plan and try a DTD shop at Tesco too for tonight.

Morning all
I am off to town in a bit to get some bitsfor our RW party which is on saturday we are doing a bring and share need to get some gas for the BBQ so will trot down to the garden centre for that then need to go get some bits in Farm F***s will get the fresh sat morning will get some paper plates n cups as well not MS I know but got about 30 peeps coming was only supposed to be a few from dog walking club:D

Morning NPM & everyone else - sorry to hear Noah's still not well

Very grey & chilly here again, may clear up as it did yesterday. The parsley seeds I thought had fizzled out sprouted like magic yesterday! Nothing the day before then about 20 little green sprouts yesterday afternoon! Also got to get my spuds in, glad I'm not the only one behind! :rotfl:

No one round here's doing anything for the royal wedding, shame as I sort of fancied a bit of a do! At least DH isn't working, he's got 4 days in total, although I have to work Sat 12-5, but it could be worse. If Friday or Monday are good weather we may take off for the seaside, never taken the littlies. If I do a picnic there will only be petrol to factor in.

JackieO can I be cheeky and ask for your recipe for fruit cake. Every one I try seems to end up hard and dry and I end up chucking it, my DH loves fruit cake
JackieG do you find feather pillows comfy, I am really struggling with a stiff neck and shoulders at the minute. Don't know if its stress or my pillows

Things are a bit tense chez Julie. I won't go into details but money is really tight and I think we are taking it out on each other. Might just about manage to pay the DD's due out on Tuesday but it will be very tight:( I hate it when its like this as we normally get on really well.
Need to go to the bank this morning and pay in what little bit of money I have, then will call for potatoes on the way back. Will not be spending anything else this wkend, but plenty in the freezer and cupboards. Going to do some baking and fill all the tins this afternoon.
Got DS3 off school today with a really awful cold and cough, feeling very sorry for himself. He had coughed all through the night:cool:

Well onwards and upwards, more ebay listing to do and I have already applied for a job this morning, needs must:(
