Thanks QBW and welcome to my diary.

Hi pink poppy and Radish - thanks for reading.

I've switched gas/electric suppliers, and they emailed asking for meter readings while I was on holiday. So now I've submitted them, and the gas one's gone through fine, but the electric one's been rejected in favour of an estimate that's way too high - I think it's been done by assuming that I use much the same amount of electricity all year round, whereas actually we use quite a bit less in the summer. So I've phoned them up and explained, and given them 3 readings - a week before switch date, switch date and today, and they've filed it as a dispute. Otherwise they'll be emailing me for a monthly reading in a couple of weeks' time and complaining that it's less than my start reading. :rotfl:

Hoping for another NSD today. :)

I'm getting back into the whole spreadsheet addiction thing. My spending diary is now back up and running, backdated to Monday because my financial months run from the 6th to the 5th.

I've also set up a payment of £50 to FL1 to go out on payday later this month. :)

OK, there's nothing booked in the diary for today, so I am going to try not to be a lazy mare but actually get lots of stuff done. I need to buy a new bin for the bathroom now that I've decided that the old one is a perfect fit for under the kitchen sink for compost, but there are lots of other things that need doing too - a huge pile of laundry, for one.

Hi to pink poppy, Radish and Tilly - thanks for reading.

  • Spreadsheets - me too. I've got the last two weeks of August off so I'll either have a paint brush in my hand or I'll be updating/revamping spreadsheets.

Hope today is productive for you...

    Thanks MRN.

I haven't bought a bathroom bin yet but I've made quite a bit of progress with my decluttering. Still a lot to be done, though.

Hahaha. But I did buy a bin - just not until after posting that update.

  • Congratulations on your new bin!!!

I love a good declutter... a little too much! My house only has functional or sentimental things in now (with the exception of OH workshop which I'd like to get stuck in to but I'm not allowed!!!). At a loss for stuff to declutter, I have to re-arrange my kitchen cupboards or refold my clothes drawers just to get the same feeling!!!
