N@tionwide pays 5% on the first £2.5k but nothing above that. It's only for the first year, too.
Spanish bank pays 1% on balances £1,000.00 to £1,999.99
2% on balances £2,000.00 to £2,999.99
3% on balances £3,000.00 to £20,000.00
It also pays cashback on DDs for phone, broadband, TV, gas, electricity, water & council tax.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

So I think my best bet probably is to put what remains of the N@tionwide money into the Spanish account to make sure it stays over the £3k.
That sounds like a good plan Lois, it's a pretty poor return unless you can remain above £3k (well, not as bad as other accounts in the marketplace, but still pants!)0 -

Indeed. And of course I have to keep money in there, even if there's not enough to get a decent rate, to make sure there's enough to pay the DDs that get cashback.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Lovely cup of tea, thank you.
Impromptu events are so nice. It's hard to keep any spontaneity going with jobs and kids etc. Good for you."Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0
