Hi, interesting thread, really helpful comments so thanks so much. Can anyone tell me more about Citibank cashline withdrawals - I've tried to find details on their website to no avail. I really need to know what cashline's I can use as there is as their only branch in the UK appears to be London, not much good to me in Edinburgh! Also, what happens if I ever have a cheque to pay in for example, would I have to post it to them? (unlikely scenario, but stranger things have happened!!)
Thanks!Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Thanks Proliant - I guess that this means that for cashline withdrawals you can use any of the LINK system ATM's?0

Great, thanks cifpower, I'll head off and put in an application, a decline won't bother me much now! :rolleyes:0

I've just recently applied and been accepted for a basic Barclays account. I've got my Connect Visa debit card, but before I received this they sent me a cheque book. I just read on here that they don't offer cheque books... or does anybody know if this changed recently?
Also - because its a visa debit, does this mean it reports back as a current account?
Thanks0 -

I have online banking too...
Have they just approved me for a bank account, but with no o/d?0 -
yea they must of, does your card have a cheque logo on the back right?
Nope and it says specifically, it's not a cheque guarantee card.
I went into Barclays and asked what type of account it is, they say current account.
So no cheque guarantee card, but a cheque book - and no overdraft.
Odder and odder!0
