time to take action!!!
I agree, this is ridiculous - according to one of the stories on our Facebook group, Dulux told one lady that they had no other reports of the yellowing and they didn't put a warning on the tin because there was no room!!
Please come and join and share your stories/pictures. The more we have the more chance we have of getting something noticed!0 -

If you have your receipts you can win
After over a year I ended up going to court and winning
I had major work done, some by me and some professionally. It all went yellow very quickly. Dulux offered me some paint and then after much communication, receipts photos etc increased the offer to £1500. The cost of raising brand new stair runners, decorating many rooms etc actually came to neared £4,500!
Dulux wouldn't budge and said I couldn't sue them as my contract was with the supplier. I wasn't prepared to sue my decorator for his part of the work but did have my Homebase receipts for the weeks of work that I had done.
They ignored my claim so I went to small claims and won the £3500 I was claiming.
They ignored the court order so the court enforcement officers went in! I wish I'd been there.
No doubt they will reclaim against dulux
I now use water based where possible0 -
Wow so glad I've read this thread, has saved me a mint.
I have to say I don't like water-based eggshell finish etc. You finish painting, check you don't have any runs, make a mug of tea and stand there only to realise it has run while you were making tea grr.
I use Brewers Albany oil based eggshell which you can get in British Standards colours (and others). 34.34 for 2.5L Other goods ones I've used are Farrow & Ball oil eggshell and Zoffany oil eggshell which are good but ££0 -
Dulux has turned 'yellow' for as long as I can remember... My mother was always touching up and repainting the house with it because it went yellow after a while, and this was a non-smoking household!0

All oil based paints will yellow over time, but in the past but this generally took a year or two before it was noticeable.
The new formula Dulux paint will start showing signs of yellowing within a matter of months.
There was another thread on the same subject here:

I managed to get a payment of £300 and four 2.5L tins of paint from them and this was without having any receipts.0 -
Hi everyone, if you have any stories to tell please join our facebook group and share them.. search for 'Dulux Brilliant White Gloss is not so brilliant'.
We seem to be getting somewhere, we now have someone being sent to look at the yellowing paint this week. Ours has yellowed badly after less than 4 months which is simply not acceptable.
The more stories we have the more evidence we have to show it isn't a one off and they need to do something about it!
Sunfold - excellent news, well done for sticking to your guns! Would love you to join us and share what happened.0
