Another feature we're looking at is 'thank you hack' so people can click a thank you on someone's post rather than saying it each time and clogging up the discussion.
Now that makes a lot of sense. Save me poor old mouse finger from all that scrolling0 -

Well something like that anyway!!! AND you're already beating me cos your little square is green and mine isn't.......................THERE does that make you feel any better????

Oh dear, I don't think this is a good idea at all. Do people really need any more excuse to be competitive? We should post because we want to, not because we think we'll get brownie points.
It's not going to show real opinions anyway, because those people who want to get high scores will just arrange to click on each other's rating scales to bump each other up.MSE_Martin wrote:Hi guys
We're just trying this. I'm not wedded to it - so we'll give it a couple of weeks and see what everyone thinks then. We can always turn it off. I thought it may help stop the spammers getting hi reps.

I have to say it makes me feel very uncomfortable. Sorry, don't like it.A penny saved is a penny gained0 -
Martin, you haven't got a little scales thingy. Can we opt not to have one either if we don't like it?A penny saved is a penny gained0

Groups of friends will have a field day with it, as far as I am concerned it is a non-starter, surely this site is strong enough to hold the attention of all its regulars without the competition factor of being reputations top dog. (just like the stars)0
