    Hi guys

Another feature we're looking at is 'thank you hack' so people can click a thank you on someone's post rather than saying it each time and clogging up the discussion.

Now that makes a lot of sense. Save me poor old mouse finger from all that scrolling :)

LMAO same here JayS.................so looking at it logically, ONE of us will be a winner as one will appear higher than the other in the list!!! Well something like that anyway!!! AND you're already beating me cos your little square is green and mine isn't.......................THERE does that make you feel any better???? :D

Mine's only green, 'cos I begged Tiff to turn it green.

    I'll do yours now.

I thought it may help stop the spammers getting hi reps.

    What does this mean?

    As i say though - they're just trials, they're not a big deal :)

I like the sound of the 'thank you hack' too. :)

    Thank You Hack -

  • Don't anybody dare turn my box green
I did it. 1a_y_shock1.gif my mouse slipped.
  • Oh dear, I don't think this is a good idea at all. Do people really need any more excuse to be competitive? We should post because we want to, not because we think we'll get brownie points.

It's not going to show real opinions anyway, because those people who want to get high scores will just arrange to click on each other's rating scales to bump each other up.

    Hi guys

We're just trying this. I'm not wedded to it - so we'll give it a couple of weeks and see what everyone thinks then. We can always turn it off. I thought it may help stop the spammers getting hi reps.

I think if spammers want to get high numbers of posts, they'll keep doing it, one way or another. These measures aren't going to stop them if they're determined. I understand what you're trying to do, but I think it will cause more problems than it solves.

I have to say it makes me feel very uncomfortable. Sorry, don't like it. :p

  • Martin, you haven't got a little scales thingy. Can we opt not to have one either if we don't like it?
A penny saved is a penny gained
  • Groups of friends will have a field day with it, as far as I am concerned it is a non-starter, surely this site is strong enough to hold the attention of all its regulars without the competition factor of being reputations top dog. (just like the stars)
