Even still, some people have had a dispatch email, however, I've yet to receive anything. I don't mind not receiving anything, as I'm not a Capital One customer (although have been in the past: wonder if that'll wash), but I would hope that they'd refund the money I paid.
I'm doubting they'll run this sort of campaign again. I've heard of loss-leaders but this smacks on the ridiculous. I'm not against moneysavingexpert's forums, however, if you add up the number of registered users, and then *add on* the lurkers, they're probably getting somewhere in the region of 500,000 to a million requests for vouchers from this alone [edit: sorry, MSE, and other fora. Let's not be forum-ist here :P] (if we add on the people who multiple-order vouchers). Which is probably well outwith their expectations.
Maybe (and this probably goes against the spirit of Martin's boards) locking fora to registered members should be considered. That way you stop the lurkers... be a crying shame, though. That's how I got into this site...

Sorry FloFlo, but I take offence to you inferring that I a hypocrite. I did actually just enter my email address and expected to receive a £1 voucher, but was delighted when I looked at my emails and found that the voucher was for GBP5. I urge you not to make such rash judgements after reading one short post.
And to Goldeneye, yes the recent CDs I have ordered have all arrived with 1-2 days after receiving my "notice of despatch" email. They were chart CDs, and so I'm assuming were readily available 'in stock'.
Finally, I have to say I am sorry I ever posted in the first place. I thought these forums were for people to have their say rather than jump on other people's backs and slate them!
(And please don't bother replying to this, as I'm not interested in entering into a forum argument).

Hmm, even if there is a huge backlog of orders, I don't see why our order history etc. should disappear.

Just wanted to let people know that a couple of weeks ago I was waiting for a book to come from cd-wow. One minute their website showed it as pending despatched and then the next it showed as a pre-release product (which it wasn't). I contacted cd-wow and apparently they've been having alot of "technical glitches." (initially my order wouldn't even display!)
This was before the capitalone promotion so maybe their computers are playing up again and it's just coincidence. The book I ordered has subsequently been sent (I've had it over a week now) but when I checked "my orders" tonight (after reading this thread) the book now shows as pending despatch!! Very strange!0 -

I had the same problem - was pending despatch, then pre-release, then when I click on Review your orders, it just sends me back to the same page (you can even see the redirection in the status bar)... but thanks for confirming the status problems, cause I was a bit worried there!!!

I dont think this is no techincal error guys. I went on my account, i can see ALL MY ORDERS i have made over the past year or whatever, APART from the one with the voucher used. so it aint a techno error, they have just wiped all transactions with the voucher used off their database. Hopefully it will still get sent, but dont get too excited0
