  • Managed to transfer a little bit more over so total to go is £2,350. Going to try and have a really frugal rest of the month so that I can transfer some more over by next payday.

I'd ideally like to get all this from what else I can transfer at the end of this month, and the next 3 months (Sept, Oct, and Nov), so that December can be a saving free month.

Then starting in the new year (if all the above goes to plan), start splitting any savings I can make between topping up the "emergency savings pot" and "buying pretty things for my new home pot" (by pretty things I actually mean essentials that we're likely to need like bits and bobs of furniture, probably a lick of paint, white goods etc - things that we don't have now while we're renting -although most of what's here is ours, some things will be needed).

It's all beginning to sound a bit real now - just hope I have considered everything we'll need to cover in the process.

    Getting excited (far too quickly)
