Hugs to both you and thorsoak.
One day (can't quite remember when about 18 months - two years?) I could clearly hear my husband telling me that I was still here, to stop mourning him and get on live my life - I've tried to ever since - I've had to create new dreams and plans for a future without him.

This is so odd: I haven't lost a partner, but I have lost both my parents, my mum when I was 13, to alcoholism and my dad four years ago to a heart attack (I was devastated and it took three years to get functianl again). About a year ago I had that experience too: my mother said to me that i didn't need to worry about anything, because whenever I need help or advice , she is there- in the shape of women around me and she said I could go to her any time, she is always around. I didn't dream it, I heard it, clear as a bell, one night, and the feeling is undescribable- such peace and happiness...

Since then I know that those who left us, they didn't leave us completely: they are still around, looking out for you, just in a different dimension.

I don't know if this will help you, I can imagine how tough this is for you- but I send you my hugs, and I hope it gets a little bit less difficult. Be strong and have courage- he did.
