Have managed to stay within my budget. Payday is a week today.
I need some new suits, some shirts and a pair of shoes for the start of the new term in August. I usually buy work clothes from Next or Burtons.

Just purchased new car insurance using my "Insurance Saving Fund". Used comparison and cashback.
Managed to get insurance for less than my savings fund so have paid the spare cash to the debt. According to lovely Halifax, my debt now stands at £1202.91Debt now £48,000 in the form of a mortgage0 -

Lent a close friend £150 about a year ago. Had pretty much written this debt off. However, he appeared at my house today with the money and a nice gift- seems he is back on his feet and sorting out his debts.Debt now £48,000 in the form of a mortgage0

Monthly take home pay- £1699 (work as school teacher. Pension and student loan take a big chunk of my salary)
(salary will increase to £1800.08 as of new term due to pay scale)

Halifax Credit £1202 @ 19.95% APR
Santander Store £0 @ 29.9% APR
Hire Purchase
RCI Financial £12500(remaining) @ 5.9% APR (£276 per month)
Contribution to parents....
£200 per month (I buy and prepare my own food)
Mobile phone/internet....
£90 per month (this includes £45 per month for ex-partner)
Other expenses....
EIS union @ £12.30 per month (I need this for the legal cover it provides)
Gym membership @ £28.50 per month (I use this everyday for gym/swim)
Car Insurance RENEWED JULY 21st USING SAVINGS
Car tax £215 Due again in September
Savings....
now £0 due to Car Insurance renewal
(£50 per month Standing Payment to be used towards car insurance- i stick to this every month without fail)
Cash....

My car loan and mobile phone costs are HUGE!! This is made even worse by the fact that I use my car less and less as a result of moving back home.
My next target is to start saving towards my own place. To rent or to buy will be my next question!!Debt now £48,000 in the form of a mortgage0
