Hi everyone, sorry to gate crash i havent been on in a while due to not really loosing weight but now i have found the answer,i use an app on my phone its fantastic u calclate your weight that u are then put in the weight u want to be it then tells u how many calories your are allowed each day.i have 1200 a day u log everything on your phone and if you are unsure u can scan the barcode on the packet/container etc and it will tell u how many cals.now unless u have an android/iphone etc u cant do it.i have been doing it now for 18days and have lost 7.5lb i do zumba 4 times a week at home along with sit ups which i increase by 10 each day.my waist and stomach look fantastic.i only had 10lb to loose but im amazed at the results.i was healthy eating and exercising before but what i didnt realise what i was eating really wasnt that great.id have for lunch two boiled eggs which is fine but id have 3 small fillets of the ready cooked smoked mackeral which each fillet is 330 cals each so just lunch id have nearly a 1000 cals.im out jogging/brisk walking a few times a week aswell with the dog.honestly anyone that has the right phone needs to try this0

Well I found I was almost always under 1500 cals, without really trying to hard. So I just use it when I think it's going to be a bad day, ie if I'm going out to eat etc. It's also told me I am allowed 1400 cals... But as I apparently usually eat 1500 it's not much of a difference!
Which one do u use?:T0 -
I don't have an iphone etc but have an ipod touch so will have a look. What app is it? the only problem I would have I think is that I don't buy much ready made stuff; I make most of my meals from scratch so not real idea of the calories and you can't scan veg! heehee. Still may be worth a look0

I use the myfitnesspal app, I've got an android phone so not sure if its the same one. Its really made me look at how I'm eating, I'm only allowed 1200 calories a day, just input your food and drink intake and exercise and you get a graph of how much you've eaten over the week and how much weight you've lost.
I've upped my exercise because of it as well - it adds on any calories that you've burned off so that you're still eating 1200 calories. If that makes sense to anyone.0 -
Thats good. I was going to start writting down what I eat so I could see when I was snacking but if I could do it on my ipod that would be handy0

I have just been bad... (kind of)....
Went to sainsburys to get some lunch, picked up a packet of crisps cos I fancied them, then went to pick up some milk for home. Then saw that they have my absolute favourite muller corner yoghurts back. But in a six pack. (actually only 2 of them in a pack) but I brought them anyway. I have now eaten one, with the packet of crisps.
It was very yummy and has filled me up for now, but not very nutritional, an I will be starving again by 4!! I am unsure whether I am happy about the yoghurts or disappointed that it has taken up 230 odd of my calories?!?:T0 -
If you like the yogurts Jo don't worry about it and just make sure you do some exercise later to counter act it.
My lunch today is HM soup, carrot sticks, pineapple, yogurt coated blackcurrent bits and an apple for later. I had porridge for breakfast. Am going to make stuffed pepers for dinner with salad and potato wedges (but i will only have a few of those if any).
I am also going to do my divina dvd when i get home and am going to do it all even if i feel like giving up part way through!0 -
Yeah, I may do some wii fit when I get home as H2B is not going to be home until 6.45.
Well 371 cals for lunch, 172 for breakfast. So my soup tonight (and the inevitable yoghurt/ hot chocolate etc) should still be under 930 calories!:T0
